Couldn't you declutter without moving, if your current home is just right for you at this stage in your lives?

There's more to life than making money :)

    But a 300k profit is life-changing.
Especially if the house isn't unique, as Michaels said.

I suppose it also depends on whether the reasons for being able to make the 300k are likely to still be there in 3 or 4 years time, or whenever the downsizing would be seriously considered.
That sort of profit could set the kids up, apart from anything else.

Are you talking 2 house moves and living on a building site for a year in between? Also will the family want to stay and leave the 300k profit locked in the house?

Something is wrong, I changed isp today and went onto fibre. Broadband went down this morning, router turned up at 9.45. Plugged in at lunch time and it only all worked :)
    I think....

Me too. It's a "fad word", misused and overused.

I'm passionate about nothing. Never have been; never will.

I feel the same way about awesome. Why is it that being full of awe is now such a day to day occurrence that you can experience it purely from television?

Some people set their awe bar terribly low.

"We just wanted to make you aware of a small change to your myWaitrose benefits.

From 1 November 2016, the minimum spend to receive money off your shopping with selected newspapers from Monday to Friday will be £10. It will remain £10 at weekends as it is now."

Up till now, it's been a £5 spend, including the cost of the newspaper and a free coffee. So, I only needed to spend £1.50 on goods to get the free paper. (Plus throw away the awful coffee!)

That spend is now going up to £6.50. Oh no!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

York has now made a reappearance in youngest's deliberations...Lincoln and NUA still top though.

Think the next stress out will be when the personal statement is done and he will have to sit down and decide once and for all, he's not the most decisive person in the world, well he is but then he stresses that he has made the wrong decision and goes into mental meltdown.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I was wondering whether to set up an online ready meal service.

I have one main question left at the moment; Is it possible to get a good number of customers, quickly, without an online marketing campaign (I would think most online campaigns would unlikely reach target audience very quickly? Presumably the only way would be good old fashioned leaflets.

For this to be viable I would need some 100 orders per day, for something like a £40 box containing 10 home cooked, high quality dinners (no chemicals, additives etc).

    Along these lines;

Local papers - maybe the ones that get distributed free?
Local business directories - again maybe free ones? I had one shoved through my door recently, just a double-side printed A3 sheet with plenty of local businesses, so it's been kept for reference (me being new to the area) and hasn't been recycled.
Parish/village/town magazines sometimes include adverts, if only to offset printing costs. We have a good monthly one which also gets kept for reference.

You'd almost certainly have to pay for inclusion in something like that - but you have to do that anyway for leaflets. However, it would mean that you wouldn't have to go around distributing them because someone else already is.
