Far as I'm aware as long as they don't convene any parking regulations ie double yellows or blocking the road, then they can.

Basically where do you park? People don't want lorry parks anywhere near them, so they are few and far between and often over subscribed. Industrial estates may or may not be privately owned ( the one I am on, is ) and they may have parking restrictions on the estate.

Road or lay-by is often the option.

Ah I see, in which case s/he may be in breach of the law. On the other hand if the little darlings are out there some time bouncing their ball against his truck and ruining his nights kip, he might have words;)

That's nice of them - sending you some free compost/firelighters/litter tray liners/whatever ;)

They went in the paper-recycling box. Or they will do, as soon as he's cut his name and address out of the cover. :D

I'm getting frustrated with the gardener. Twice this summer he has had tools stolen, which means he isn't fully equiped to do all necessary work. don't want to cancel him as that would be doubly hard for him having already had tools taken, but am getting frustrated.

Some naughty word person hit my car whilst it was parked outside the house today, only cosmetic damage but it is unsightly. They didn't stop and by the time I got to the window, it was long gone down the street and out of sight.

Think I need to go back to having old battered cars, people didn't appear to make a beeline for them....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Oh dear. :(

    That's so mean.

Let's hope he/she did more damage to their own car. It's often the case.

Sue I think it's a motability car? If is is, at least you won't have to pay for the repair.

It is Ivy, they have said as it is only cosmetic damage they will just note down the damage and it will be excluded at the end of the lease. I can have it repaired if it annoys me but it would go down as a claim and cost £100 excess.

I have no idea what to do, they seemed to think I should just live with it!

It sounds like they are trying to avoid you incurring any expense unless you choose to, i.e. they are not expecting you to pay.

    Mind you, considering your earlier comment;

doesn't this get you partway there?

Sue I asked OH and he said Yes, if there's no damage to the bodywork it's up to the driver to decide whather they want to have it repaired through the motability insurance but you would indeed have to pay the excess.
It happened to him once, the day before he was due to hand the car back (I'd forgotten); it's just rotten luck that it's happened to yours when it's so new :(

chris_m's suggestion made me chuckle though :o:D
