You have to buy it, then wash it, then dry it, then use it before it goes brown.
So, I don't buy it.
Getting through a whole lettuce is soul destroying.
Easy to dry with a salad spinner.
And any lettuce left over I just chuck into one of my eclectic stir-fries! :rotfl:Lettuce is rabbit food. I don't have buck teeth and long ears so I don't eat lettuce :rotfl:(I just lurve spiders!)

I love lettuce but grow all my own pretty much all year round. Have a 2x1m plot at the moment filled with all types. I just go out and put off a few leaves when I want them. If they bolt or the insects get them, I just dig up and put in the compost bin.
I like mushrooms too, but don't grow those.
I eat lots of nuts too, snack of choice.
But despite all this I rarely get my five a day!Spend less now, work less later.0 -

Just got back ... left the house, had a drive round/park up ... drive back, then straight out again, repeat.... been round Lidl ....
.... and there are still 2-3 out there in the pitch dark (there are no lights). I can't even see my shed, which is 20' away!0 -
I remember reading there's a religion somewhere that bans the eating of lettuce (and the colour yellow). There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

You're going for the wrong five a day ..... try: sweeties, crisps, pie, biscuits and cake.
Ah, now I would but sweets, crisps, biscuits and cake have to be rare treats these days. Pie I had last night!SaveSpend less now, work less later.0
