I've coined a new word........
Compsophobia - a fear of posh stuff! :rotfl:
(Nearest Greek word I can find is Kompsos, which strictly speaking is elegant/refined, and combined it with -phobia).(I just lurve spiders!)
INFJ(Turbulent).

I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!
I love :eek:0 -
Saturday evening - might have been and we don't care 'cos we're dead 'ard and keeping the economy moving along:p .:rotfl:
LOL - I really was only kidding, coz I haven't actually been there this year. It's the first year for quite some time that I haven't made it up there, been too busy this year getting retired and relocated.:T for guessing the right side of the bridge.
'Twasn't too hard - there's no decent viewpoints from the west, so it had to be from Kyle or Kyleakin. However, the latter would be too far round to have the Cuillins in the background, so it had to be Kyle0 -
I think it may just be a natural extension of my Luddite tendencies, but I rally don't want more tech, I want less. I have a few things, do like the tinternet for all its uses, but i don't want a machine to do things like turn volume down, or provide parking advice or a fridge that tells me I'm low on lettuce.:(
I'm with you there - I really don't see the point in having everything connected to the internet, especially when most of the stuff currently around is so insecure that it's easy to get all your stuff sucked into a botnet to go wreaking havoc somewhere on t'net.
As for a fridge that tells me I'm low on lettuce - if I did have one, the voice circuit would be burned out by now coz I never have lettuce anyway, in the fridge or otherwise :rotfl:0 -
I never have lettuce
I hate lettuce. I just don't see the point of it. I don't mind a bit of crunchy lettuce here and there, just a tad, say a small bit in a burger, or a small bit in a salad sandwich, but there's no room in life for more than a tiny leaf occasionally.
You have to buy it, then wash it, then dry it, then use it before it goes brown.
So, I don't buy it.
Getting through a whole lettuce is soul destroying.0 -

I know you were joking:). I find the really slow people are the tourists - I find myself going yes, it's a mountain, it's always there. It is stunning scenery, that I see rarely these days. The big trucks run between Dalwhinnie and Fort William past Loch Laggan and I never get tired of that Loch, it's just gob smackingly gorgeous.0 -

That's brilliant, thank you :T
It may already be planned anyway, but as the text on the plans is in light blue on a white background it's impossible to read most of it online, and even if we went to the Council offices we could still only view them online! I can just make out a few words here and there ("structure", "plasterboard" and "and", so not very helpful.).
Using a magnifying glass I was at leasst able to see where the bedrooms are planned to be, though I can't help wondering what will happen if all the tenants (minimum of five, assuming there will be only single bedrooms - the room sizes are also illegible on the plans) have a car they want to park, as it's already difficult to park in this road overnight and we will be losing 2 parking spaces when they make the entrance-way to the new houses being built across the road.0 -

That's a road I haven't been along - yet, must do now
At first I wasn't sure where you meant, coz I only knew of Laggan Locks, at the head of Loch Lochy on the A82 Spean Bridge - Inverness road, another beautiful loch - but let's be honest - it's all stunning scenery up there, even Rannoch Moor when I went over it in the snow0 -

Lettuce is rabbit food. I don't have buck teeth and long ears so I don't eat lettuce :rotfl:0 -
Forgot to Maggie I'm so sorry to hear of the PIP decision.
I trust you will appeal if the decision is not changed at the mandatory reconsideration. There is a poster called GlasweJen who is having to appeal because they insist she can walk more than 20 metres, despite the fact that she is paralysed and wheelchair-bound!0
