  • Another day, another cooked breakfast (yum), and the sun is even shining up here for a change.

Unfortunately I have to do my expenses today, which I hate with a passion, and then sort various insurance renewals, meter reads, etc, but might manage to get it all done by mid afternoon and still get outside for a bit of fresh air.

I had spaghetti! Yum! (For breakfast!)
With roasted red peppers, watercress and purslane, and some tomato and olive pesto mixed in! Delisheroonie!

I've only recently discovered it, and it's chock full of Omega 3s, so I'm eating it weekly until the season ends. :p)

I had scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast.

I've also snacked on: 2 cold cocktail sausages and 2 jelly sweeties.
I took a blueberry muffin out of the bread bin ... but then put it back in there "for later on". It's the last of a pack of four - and once you've eaten the last one you've none left, so I do try to hold onto the last ones a bit longer.

Trying to re-read this Will/people... and I must have a hole in my knowledge. Everybody's got the same name, occupation and wife.... and children are named the same as the fathers.

So it's hard to work out where I'm going wrong, but I think there's another line in here somewhere.... and maybe Joan is the mother of Edith the 2nd. But I'm still missing a vital David. Just not sure where.

I'll get there.... just not today.

And all I get from https://familysearch.org/search/ is "internal server error" today

I wish I had your restraint!

Mind you, I stopped eating muffins when I discovered their calorific content. It's ok for you as you're nice and slim, and you've got self-control! :)

How does PN manage two jelly sweets? That's what I want to know. I'm okay until I get started, but then I'm quite likely to finish the packet.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I don't read books. I've not the attention span for them :)

I also forget who is who etc.

As a child I used to read books, but I had to read them in one sitting, then I'd forget what I'd read anyway. So I gave it up.

I have no "fiction retention" gene. I'm the same with films: watch it - couldn't tell you at a later date what happened. So, not overly bothered about watching films either.

This isn't fiction and I think it's available as an audiobook so you can listen to it when driving (which in my previous jobs was the only way I could get any reading done).

Me too! Same goes for biscuits which I why I very rarely have any in the house.
And cake. It's why I don't bake. Or hardly ever. The most I might do is a fruit crumble, and that's bad enough.

The only, only thing that lasts for ages is a high % dark chocolate! which I buy for the anti-oxidants. I can only eat a couple of squares at at a time, so it lasts ages.

Now, if everything tasted like very dark chocolate, I'd be as skinny as a rake! :rotfl:

Muffins are a "new/current" item for me. For some reason I'd recently bought some cakes and was looking for cake... but they're so big in the shops (£1/slab) ... then I spotted muffins and thought "what the heck, they'll do"

Having never bought any before, I bought a pack the other week and have now had three packs. I can recommend the Blueberry ones at L*dl, tried two chocolate variations but wasn't overly enamoured.

I think they're under 70p for 4 in L*dl and they're just a nice little dessert/treat. I pull the paper case away and nuke it for 10-12 seconds so it's warm. It then goes on a plate and I eat it with a spoon. Custard is optional :)

I have absolutely no idea how one could listen to an audiobook while driving. I've got a radio; there's a CD slot in there too, but I've no CDs.
