I looked into that guardianship once - even visited one property to look (100 miles away from where I lived).
They never had enough places .... it's mostly a big city thing.
Not even in the big city. DS1 looked into it, people are required to move on at a few days notice (doable) and can't spend an evening out. Seems the occupants can be quite vunerable to break-ins.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Lynzpower lived in one and worked for them for a while. She was allowed out. A lot of the properties have space for more than one guardian.
She wasn't impressed with the company's standards by the time she'd left. I don't think she'd do it again, but she had a huge flat at the Elephant & Castle when I visted her. Stunning views from the roof, worth a huge amount!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

600g of strawberries for £2.75 in Mr T. Just gone in there as the office has run out of milk, and taken 4 boxes back which have been gratefully received.💙💛 💔0

Hmm, so my 3/4 hour spent picking this morning was only worth £5.50.
What the heck, they still taste good0 -

The stuff you picked was wild fruit, growing in hedgerows and on public land?
Yep, in my garden - if "growing" is the right word, going rampant is more like it. :rotfl:
All I've done with the raspberry patch since moving in was to weed it once, make some netting frames to keep the birds off and spend ages picking the fruit.
I do wonder if, had I'd attempted any more attempt at cultivation, I'd have got a single berry off them0 -
