There's nothing to do/nowhere to go out to when it rains ....
Well, you could:
Sort your photos
Sort/delete your emails
Tidy your knicker drawer
File your paperwork
Stick your music on a loop and 'dancersize' to it!
Cook something different with what you have in
Make those phone calls you've been putting off
Do a crossword/other puzzle
Got any mending needs doing?
Go to a local What's On website and see what's on
Or failing all that, you could have a wander into some uncharted parts of MSE .......... but best take a torch and a hard hat with you!(I just lurve spiders!)

Newbie to this thread and forum, hello all, hope I'm welcome.
Currently googling activities to do with toddler on rainy summer day. Husband has worked nights and just got home and gone to bed. So it's me and littlun, she keeps looking out the window longing for her slide and Wendy house.
Have done painting and sticker books and her current favourite hobby, jumping, with mummy
Ideas great fully received....0 -

I haven't been able to watch many wildlife progs for a while now, because directors now like to show life in the raw, and I identify too much with the prey, especially if it is a baby or young one. I know it's necessary and all that, but it's more about the fear that the prey experiences. Once it's dead I can accept it, but can't watch it running for its life etc.Doozergirl wrote: »
My favourite question for worrying is 'What's the worst that can happen?' which, when thought through logically is never as bad as you think. And even if the worst does happen, at least you didn't waste perfectly good time worrying amd feeling bad beforehand.
And my favourite phrase is '!!!! it'.Doozergirl, summed up brilliantly. This is my way of tackling anxiety too - what is the worst that can happen?
For driving in strange places etc (which I don't like) I talk myself into thinking of it as an adventure, and congratulate myself on the achievement when I've done it.
You only live once.
And of course, allowing bags and bags of time for unforeseen eventualities. The upside of doing that is that it usually means you get there early and so have lots of time to go and get a coffee/tea, go to the loo, relax and get your bearings!tiredoflife wrote: »Newbie to this thread and forum, hello all, hope I'm welcome.

Thanks guys. I love forums and spend way too much time on them! I'll check other sections out.
So what are we all up to, and has anyone got any sunshine?!
Daughter has just mentioned swimming, pray for me, Sunday at the swimming pool is my idea of hell!0 -

I used to memorise one every time I had to drive the kids somewhere. It kept their attention but I doubt they remember any of them now! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
I have managed to get out of swimming, an episode of mr tumble seems to be doing the trick ( awful kids show for those who don't know) appears to be brightening up too!
Wonder if they will put the roof on for the tennis later? Come on Andy!0 -
Welcome tiredoflife.
How about getting those wellies and waterproofs out and splashing in the puddles at the park. Always makes me feel better, and I don't have a toddler to take with me.Spend less now, work less later.0
