Stuff that we didn't really understand properly.

Make sure the cost of the guarantees is worth it. The actual cost and the cost of putting it all in place and the extras you need to provide in order to get the guarantees.

My previous business we exported. We took the risk. Much simpler.

    Deleted for you, CK

I have a telephone appointment on the 26th with a commercial lender, which is required to actually access the guarantees, as the contract values are individually small.

    More deletions

I deleted those bits of your quote, but then I deleted my own post! :rotfl:

Was it the one about putting in through Google translate which then blew up?

It may be that the required financing is not available without the guarantees - or are you volunteering to be an angel investor.....
    I think....

    DQWD.

It's something for my own company.

The project wouldn't be happening without the guarantees due to the overall project size.

It's not something that could be guaranteed as a single project, but split into 2 it can be (base income + agency income).

    I can't say a lot more for now :)

ETA: Can I have some quotes from earlier to remove some of the more specific points, as they've been edited :)

In this case, the numbers add up, and it probably wouldn't be happening if it was self-risked.

    Feeling a bit bleurgh.

    A number of factors;
my fall last week- taking a while to get movement back to pre fall levels, back of head still tender, more tired than usual, motivation for everything is missing, brain definitely working more slowly.

I miss NP friends and the interaction with them, their news and stories, sharing their knowledge, experience and life wisdom. I know it is choice on the part of some, but I feel a bit like I have been dumped without knowing what I have done wrong. It seems counter to the genuine NP friends belief that has built up. I am also frustreted by Generali's enforced absence. Time out in the sin bin should include a return date. Natural justice would require an appeal or review process. I not only resent the inability to have been supportive when his health was a worry, I miss his perspective and informative posts about financial markets reactions to political moves. It draws like minded occassional posters and adds to the spread of experiences shared, such as chewie and hamish.

I even miss all the scientific posts amongst NP scientists.

And I have developed a serious coffee and cake habit, that is contrary to my diet and limited caffiene life
