    Not since she last posted on here. Are you worried about her? Hopefully she's just busy :)

    Not particularly worried as such, just wondering.

    DW has abandoned me here in Norfolk, so I went to MrT to see what I could pick up for supper. I went a bit mad and bought over 1 KG of YS raspberries and blackberries. (It would have been rude not to, at £2 a KG.) Any NP want to pop over for some?
    No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Hahahahaha! I have just this minute scoffed a large bowlful of raspberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, blackberries and blueberries topped with soured cream!

    Spirit, PPRs in my (second-hand!) experience do have a return date, or, at least, they are for a set period of time.

    IIRC they happen a lot in the Arms and elsewhere. I believe a few weeks is the norm.

    I don't make rice pudding. Used to love the skin on it at school, but at home we always had tinned.

    I buy tinned, 15p/big can at Mr Ts. I get through about 3 cans/year, although not got any in the cupboard at the moment, a restock of 2 more tins is on the list for next time I'm in Mr T's or A's.

    Feeling a bit bleurgh.

    A number of factors;
    my fall last week- taking a while to get movement back to pre fall levels, back of head still tender, more tired than usual, motivation for everything is missing, brain definitely working more slowly.

    I miss NP friends and the interaction with them, their news and stories, sharing their knowledge, experience and life wisdom. I know it is choice on the part of some, but I feel a bit like I have been dumped without knowing what I have done wrong. It seems counter to the genuine NP friends belief that has built up. I am also frustreted by Generali's enforced absence. Time out in the sin bin should include a return date. Natural justice would require an appeal or review process. I not only resent the inability to have been supportive when his health was a worry, I miss his perspective and informative posts about financial markets reactions to political moves. It draws like minded occassional posters and adds to the spread of experiences shared, such as chewie and hamish.

    I even miss all the scientific posts amongst NP scientists.

    And I have developed a serious coffee and cake habit, that is contrary to my diet and limited caffiene life

    Spirit I'm so sorry you're going through a bleurgh phase. I too miss lir, NDG, missk, fc123 and the other "old timers" (I thought I'd better put that in inverted commas as they are all at least 10 years younger); as well as those that aren't around as much, such as chewy, hamish and nikks. I really hope that they are all well and will come back at some point.

    If you are missing particular people, have you thought about emailing them or PMing them to see how they are? It may be that they don't feel minded to post at the moment (apart from the obvious person who can't) and may appreciate a catch up.

    I can't possibly imagine for one minute that anyone has abandoned you. You are too rounded and warm an individual for that.

    I love that we have new blood in the NPT, but do miss the old timers too.

    On a different note, I also wanted to ask you whether you were able to use your experience to help guide your DD in her career. I would imagine that you have a huge amount of advice and guidance to share. I'd be biting your arm off to learn from you if I were her!
