Every day I am thankful that I managed to get a job that I genuinely enjoy. I did so many jobs I hated, albeit well paid ones.

It's going to be Scortchio today, the sun has that feel about it. And I made a delish tarte aux prunes to take to work today. Nom, nom, nom.

The Boy has homework to make dinner for the family this fortnight. We're doing garlic prawns, slow roast pork with all the trimmings and chocolate fondant for pudding. NOM!!!

I thought homework is meant to take an hour or two? Making dinner for a fortnight seems rather a big deal.

Haha. It's only one dinner he has to make. Homework is given fortnightly.

He's changed his mind and wants to make something more 'Mastercheffy' for main course. Any suggestions anyone?

Scary stuff spirit. Thank goodness you are safe. On a positive note, your hair sounds fab. I had alopecia when I was younger, so know how important it is to have your hair grow back and how big a part of feeling better it us. Getting it styled is the icing on the cake.

Green house frame is twisted. totally wrecked:(

Last night and this morning friends and neighbours have been telling me how well I look, that I look "great" and "amazing". It is as if I have had nothing wrong with me that a good hair cut could not fix. A sort of year long bad hair day.

I have a date for my driving test. I have only told OH, as I am going to put myself under plenty of pressure without the interest, enquiries, and concerns of my wider family and beloved friends.

I have lessons, drive with OH and am drilling myself in the principles of bay parking etc via the university that is youtube, as my close up spatial awareness is a bit shot coupled with accustomising myself to one handed steering the lollipop.

Confession: I can only bay park using the reversing camera.

Trying not to use aids at the moment, but I might just be making things harder for myself. I thought I might find the camera a distraction from doing all the observation points expected.

Pre-everything I was good at bay parking and parallel parking.
Now I have to learn a technique.

My car parallel parks itself although we have not tried it yet.

I've just been stood in aneighbours doorway and something was coming down.

It's stopped when I've walked home, so I don't know what it was. Off to the pub shortly :)

Uni day today at youngest's college, he has come home armed with the prospectus' from the universities he had already shortlisted and is fired up ready to get to more open days....I have got the feeling this is going to get expensive!

Anyone in the vicinity of Northampton on the 22nd of this month, Josh and the rest of his 1st year music cohorts, are playing a gig at the Roadmender. It is completely free entry.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

When I took my test we had to do a weird manouvre where you reversed around a corner. i don't know if it's still in the modern test but I doubt I've ever had to do it in the many decades since I took the test.

On the other hand we didn’t have parallel parking; I was a complete Reginald Molehusband, and if you remember those TV adverts on how to parallel park you’re clearly as old as I am. Oddly n the US , parallel parking was part of their test, although their car parks were so spacious you’d never need to use that skill.
