    The "Illegal Web"?

I thought bitcoin was a legitimate money substitute, or am I confusing it with something else?

    Hmmm.

Having just read the synopsis of that first link, I think I'll steer clear.

A while back, I came across something on the net totally by accident, and it upset me very much.
The thought that human beings could be so calculatingly awful was extremely disturbing.
If that's just the tip of the iceberg, I think I'll give it a miss. :(

The link is a pretty accurate reflection of what it us about. It can be pretty depressing, though interesting too. A good book to read for parents if young teens who want a bit of an insight as to what their kids could stray into. Though I'm not sure that's the NP demographic.

The Dark Web is not illegal per se - it's just a way of using t'internet without being tracked.
However, because one can't be tracked it's also an ideal medium for illegal activities and is frequently used for that purpose.

Not, I hasten to add, that I have any further knowledge of it nor desire to go there.
I thought bitcoin was a legitimate money substitute,
    It is.

PN...Mary Ann Aumonier married William Woollams of wallpaper fame 12 oct 1806 St James Paddington and had 12 children of which one was Frederick Woollams 1824-1897 who founded Coromandel NZ gold mining he was honoured with Woollams Avenue and a Statue etc...A daughter Emily Woollams married back into the Aumonier family a Frederick G Aumonier(he is Mary Ann's brother Jean Aumonier's Son) who eventually took over the William Woollams wallpaper company...in time later it was sold to Sanderson.

Most of the info has come from Judy Woollams in NZ and forums stating the siblings of Mary Ann(Aumonier 1785-1860)Woollams are as far as I know...6...Pierre b.1766 Jean b.1768 another Pierre b1772 David b1773 Phillipe b1776 Jacques b1778
it does not list Mary Ann Aumonier b1785 parents listed are David Aumonier and M. Anne Bourdon

so if this correct Mary Ann seems the last but 7 years after the one before!
There must be more to this than meets the eye it seems....

    Enjoyed your sad story....BW Dianne
