So they are! That's CK's neck of the woods (ish)...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

The question of unwinding fraudulent transactions pre-supposes that there is somebody "in charge" who ought to have the power to do that?
To put it another way: If I were that 'somebody' in charge, I don't see why I would want to use a blockchain? I would want to be the only one with the keys to the database. People would send me their transactions, and I would add them to the database. I might publish the database, so that everybody could see what was going on, but I don't see why I'd want the rest of the blockchain concept?
That's pretty much where the problem, for me at least, lies.
Part of the point of the blockchain is that it's decentralised with no single point of authority. Well this might be old fashioned and missing the point but I quite like having a single point of authority: the legal system.
If someone steals from me or defrauds me or simply owes me money and a court finds in my favour I quite like that it can compel the other person to make me whole and if necessary compel their bank to make me whole.
I went to see The Girl in the primary schools dancing event today. Groups have to audition for it so the standard is usually fairly high for the girls at least. In the past the few boys groups that are in there have been so poor that I can only assume that they're given an in for some sexual diversity.
While The Girl's school was obviously the best, lots of the boys' troops were very good this time around. It wasn't just a bunch of pre-pubescent boys posturing on stage.
Now we've got State of Origin on TV. Aussies are amazed that Poms have never heard of SoO (as they never call it).
It's a series of three games of Rugby League featuring a team players born in New South Wales vs a team of players born in Queensland. The players normally play for the top club sides here but play in these three games for their state. It would be a bit like Premier League soccer sides giving up their players for an annual North v South England match.
I'm watching it for once but only because my TV seems only to want to show Channel Nine tonight on normal TV and I've got the hump with Netflix. Goodness me League is a dreadful game, almost as dull as golf.
FWIW, I always support QLD in the SoO to annoy my colleagues who are mostly NSW fans. If I ever move to QLD I will prolly change to being a NSW fan.
QLD are stuffing NSW if anyone cares or even if they don't.0 -

Re footballer haircuts - am I alone in hating Gareth Bale's hair do?
I think that hairdo would be/is wrong on any man (and also on many women).
Not proposing to link to a photo though; no point in inflicting unnecessary mental suffering on those currently in happy ignorance!Yes, but I then had to look - no telly and no interest in football meant that I hadn't been subjected to anything untoward. Then you mention it.....:p:D
And so I had to look too. And I looked. And looked.
Unless I'm missing something, I couldn't see anything wrong with it!(I just lurve spiders!)
