I would love an app that would autotag all my photos, obviously I could help it by telling it who is who in a few photos but then it would be great if it could scan through everything and add tags such as 'red car', 'sunny day', building, indoors, outdoors, DW, animals etc etc
Oh and if it could work on vids too that would be ideal :rotfl:
I store photos in digital folders that are named with the year and location or event.
Back to cars. We have 3 (BMW 5, Nissan Juke, Toyota Aygo), which is definitely 1 too many, but can't seem to work out how to survive with 2. OH drives to work, I need a car and the kids need 1 (shared) when they are home. Due to stupidly high insurance rates for our cars, it has never worked out that we could add them to our cars. I "need" a car that is comfortable on the motorway and can cope with long drives, otheriwse I would go for something much smaller. OH likes the spare car for when we have snow/ice.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Give it time and Google and Facebook will be doing it whether you want them to or not and giving the info to the CIA.

I'm sure we rented it from the GPO!
.
Yes, you're right. However, the rental for the trimphones was higher than for the ordinary ones, plus you had to pay for the GPO engineer to come and hardwire it in, and my mother wasn't prepared to pay for either!
I've been trying to remember when the plug-in phones became available. Think I'll have to google!

Good for you. MSE at work
Too many people get hung up on how many megapixels they have or haven't got. "Ooh, yours is only 12, mine's 24!", or, worse, "Ooh, yours is 24, mine's only 12, I'd better upgrade".
Megapixels is not the entire story though. My "best" cameras are "only" 12Mp which is perfectly sufficient for my needs.
My first DSLR is 3Mp and can still produce cracking images.
My second is 6Mp but the reason for buying it was for the improved other functions than the first has, like better focussing.
My third (and fourth, I bought a s/h one for a backup) is 12Mp, again not bought for the larger images but because it's full-frame so my wide-angle lenses are wide-angle again.
I have produced 30"x20" prints from the 3Mp camera, with a lot of careful processing it's true. The real teller, though, was when I turned a cropped image into a 35mm slide. The camera club judge was staggered when I told him that that slide had effectively come from a 1Mp digital camera.
I must be at least three generations old in Canon's product range and I don't care. What I have does just what I need, why spend more just to have the latest and greatest? I'd rather spend the money on lenses because a carp lens on the very best camera available will still produce carp results.0 -

I was 10.
So was I. We moved into an MOD quarter where a telephone was already installed, so we kept it. My Mum suggested we ring my Dad at work, just for fun because I'd never used a telephone before. So she rang his number and handed the phone to me, but hearing Dad's voice like that without being able to see him was so weird....I felt somehow acutely embarrassed and couldn't think what to say to him, and put the receiver down. He was cross with me later for having wasted his time when he was so busy.
I've never liked using the phone and I suppose that's why!0 -
Well, I can't remember a time when there wasn't a phone.
That was because my father was in the entertainment industry and needed to be in contact with colleagues and potential business sources.
I got quite used to answering the phone and taking his messages if he wasn't available. Still remember the mantra I was taught to say:
" Daffodil 1234*, the (name of father) residence. Who's calling, please?"

I was probably somewhere around that age too.0 -
Trimphones were trendy. We got one of these. Not quite as neat as the phones in the Prisoner, but the next best thing.
