I'm picking up my new car today.
I have two different Minis now and am not entirely decided on which to sell. Chewy's old one is amazing - very fast but looks quite innocent. And my other one is the big one on steroids, the family sized one.
The big one is more practical, but is worth more, so not so affordable to have that and my new car on the drive. And chewy's is the best fun, ever(!) but the kids and dogs don't fit and we'll end up with two cars that only have two doors and no dog sized boot.
If anyone wants to keep Chewy's car in the NP family, so to speak, buy it from me. Or the big one. Hmm.

All ours are set up with one click buying...
If anyone ever broke in to our house and started shopping online I'd be screwed - and end up with a house full of stuff I had no need for!!! :rotfl:
On a positive note it's super convenient, the downside however is 'shopping while inebriated', as it turns out that some of the things which seem like a really good idea after a few beers just aren't.....:o
I always buy books that I don't read.
We once bought a really crap old static caravan whilst drunk. That was really, really stupid. We got it to our house, ripped the stuff out of it, paid for skips, then ended up selling it for about £50.
It, or its close relative, seems to have re-appeared in the garden of two doors down as they are essentially rebuilding their house. No way is it cost-effective to rebuild the perfectly decent house (in need of some love) that they bought last year. They haven't even taken down enough walls to qualify for zero VAT. There's six of them living in a caravan in the back garden.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Dog knitting is quite niche, admittedly. :rotfl:Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I turned off one click ordering after it had been automatically turned on for mobile devices....I only found out when there was a rather large hole in my bank balance and a lovely email telling me I had just purchased a very expensive bottle of vodka!
That's the problem with touch screens, you only have to press in the slightly wrong place when scrolling and you find you have ordered stuff. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I'm surprised that they can be kept still for long enough.0 -
So it looks like I'll be moving to Englandshire *shudder* for around 6 months.
On a positive note the company is paying for accommodation and I can use serviced apartments, or rent a place up to equivalent hotel costs (or just stay in hotels) and I'm not very limited geographically - anywhere from just north of London to just south of Manchester would be fine.
Any NP recommendations as to parts of the country that have a good cost/quality/lifestyle balance?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Well it was a nice, if hectic, day today.
Mrs Generali has an exam on Tuesday so I started the weekend well by sitting up until 2am watching an old Bruce Lee film, The Big Boss. It's a classic of the genre, one of the old Chinese ones before he got to Hollywood.
The Girl woke me up as she was bored at 7am and The Boy was up not too much later. Did the brekkie thing and cleaned up a bit while listening to a podcast about quantum computers (apparently if you buy one you will be using not just your computer but all the quantum computers ever made and that ever will be made. Bargain!).
Then off to The Boy's soccer match with The Girl in tow. The Ref was a no-show again so I reffed. This was the first really feisty kids game I'd done which was hard. I try to go easy on them as they're kids but some really stupid tackles started going in during the second half and TBH if I'd been a proper ref there'd have been a sending off for a pretty brutal tackle.
Then home to hang laundry and get out of sweaty clothes and off to Bunnings (B&Q) for a sausage sizzle.....
...Unfortunately we went to the only Bunnings I've ever found in Aus that doesn't have a BBQ out the front selling fresh sausage sandwiches for $2.50 (£1.25) and soft drinks for a buck (50p). Arrgh!
So we battled the traffic to the mall and got some sushi and fruit to take into the cinema and watched Kung Fu Panda 3 which was a lot of fun (SPOILER ALERT: It appears for a while like the bad guys will win but the good guys win ultimately).
Then home for baked trout with salsa verde (never made it before but it's NOM!!!!) and fried spuds with veggies while the Generalissimos watched ET for the first time. The Boy hated it, The Girl warmed to it in the end and sobbed at one of the sad bits. The question, "Did you cry during ET?" seems to apply 35 years on it seems.0 -

So hectic you posted that in the wrong thread the first time!:D“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Do you need to get around or will you be working from home?0
