That lovely day you said about yesterday Pastures... I had to work. I'm not working today, look out the window and... oh well.

If you ever want to know when to crack out the barbecue, ask me if I'm due to work:(

? Just opened the curtains and I would say PN is correct on the weather watch - completely beautiful although the air is not quite so clear as the cold northerly stuff we had last week.

However my hay fever is so bad I am almost looking forward to working back in the airconditioning in London next week :(

I read once that Tue/Wed are the best days for weather - their study said something about all the commuter traffic in the week causing the poor weather at the weekend ... and the Tue/Wed better weather is due to there being less commuters travelling at the previous weekend.

As most clubs are weekend only clubs.
and that it is given that the weather will be worse at weekends.

(Decent fair weather cumulus cloud type under which can be found the lift is ideal for gliding/soaring
Totally/substantially overcast either at low level or at high level alto-stratus is a dead loss day)

Very high level cirrus is the first signs of an approaching front

Unusually for me, I was so ill yesterday that I spent the day in bed...literally. This never happens. Ever. I never get the chance even if I want/need to.

The reason? Youngest got so caught up in research that he didn't need to call on me and he completely cut himself off from outside life. It's not as if the research was needed for coursework or his college studies, it was for his own pleasure (I know, weird child). During the course of the day he wrote about 6000 words (if not more, he has tiny writing and there are pages and pages of it), as in actually by hand and not on a computer compiling all his research and giving his findings/opinions.

    He just loves history.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Fascinating!

I'll probably never have a BBQ, they're a friends/family thing really. We didn't grow up ever having such things and none of my siblings have ever bought one either.

I do entertain the notion that one day I'll build a little BBQ for 1 from an old tin and a bit of racking .... but that'd need a wind-free zone.

Until I get something sorted with any extension it will never happen....

The weather, in the main, is cruel to UK workers.

I read once that Tue/Wed are the best days for weather - their study said something about all the commuter traffic in the week causing the poor weather at the weekend ... and the Tue/Wed better weather is due to there being less commuters travelling at the previous weekend.

If everybody gave up their cars we should, therefore, have more glorious weather more often.

Build a bbq using glass bricks, and that's Two of your bucket list ticked in one go.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

How about a diosposable bbq then - and if you really want to be mse reusue it with fresh charcoal....

Still sunny here with a few bubbles of cloud, have put sun cream on the DKs to go out and play, must be the change in month....

Getting DD1 to study/homework when the others are still too young to really have any and are thus playing is a real uphill struggle.

The others need household chores, that DD1 is excused from given that she has this important thing called "homework" that the others are too small to be entrusted with.

Sue Sorry you are poorly :( It's great that you were able to have a day in bed. I hope you feel a bit better for it today.

michaels Hayfever is grim atm, isn't it :( What do you use to try to ease it? Thankfully I'm finding that a combination of fluticasone spray and anti-allergy eye drops are just about working for me this year.

At the moment I am on Cetirizine (sp) but finding it pretty ineffective (although I know things are a lot worse if I forget to take it for a day or two). I am going to try Loratidin (sp) again tomorrow for a few days although in the past I have found it makes me very drowsy. I do find the avascrine works but only for a few hours and again drowsy. Lots of people seem to recommend the nasal sprays - I have found in the past they casue my nose to bleed but I might try at very low dose.

I just just written a very good methphorical poem and am working on an origami clover leaf, how come I found this stuff so hard when I was a school?

Anybody else sitting eating a mince taster from a ramekin with a teaspoon?

That looks like one of those sentences that have never been used before in the history of the world ever.
