So hectic you posted that in the wrong thread the first time!:D

I would have gotten away with it if it hadn't been for you pesky Scots!

Do you need to get around or will you be working from home?

    Both.

I could commute weekly from Scotland and just stay in hotels. It's still an option. But TBH I've been doing that for the last 6 months while covering the current position and this other one on a part time basis and it's not terribly efficient.

And will you want to be able to get back to Scotland easily? ie to visit family?

I'll still need to pop up to Scotland periodically for work so near-ish to an airport with good flight connections is handy.

There are a lot of nice places in the area you are talking about but realistically if you want an easy life you should be near Brum really.

I believe you could lodge at the very upmarket Nickster Mansions for only £500 per week?
    I think....

For £500 a week you can have the whole house to yourself. I'll sleep in the garden!

Sun's been in and out all day - but now it's definitely got some dark clouds out there and the wind's whipped up like it might be about to rain.

You're welcome to it - we've had that up here (and hail/sleet/snow) the last couple of days. Nice and sunny now, for a change.

    Bl00dy weather

Definitely - my lawns really need mowing but just when they've started to get dry enough, down comes the wet stuff again. Granted the lawns aren't anything special, but I don't really want them looking like a hay meadow :(

WE had a really good grass cutting day a couple of weeks ago, DW cut half the grass then cut the wire :(

I fixed the wire, DW* got the cutter out this afternoon...and it started to rain.

    * Once the tree pollen season is over I will cut the grass but at the moment I am a snivelling wreck if I as much as look out of the window.
    I think....
