We are a lib dem target (based on if the labour vote collapses and the big majority of remainers vote against the pro brexit incumbent tory). This means we get a couple of personally adressed letters a week from the lib dems plus circulars and have had 'personal' letters from Theresa May.

This all really winds me up. trees have died for this rubbish. The centrist lib dems under clegg were much closer to my politics, Farron to me has many disadvantages and no positives and of course the lib dems have a long history of presenting 'alternative facts' in their local material (I am sure the other parties are just as selective with the truth).

I wish we could opt out a bit like the tps.

You can. In the past when I've considered them all to be a complete shower, I've gone along and deliberately spoiled my ballot paper. That was me making a protest vote, seeing as how there is no abstention box to put an X in.

The spoiled papers are counted. Just imagine if the majority of votes were cast as spoiled papers! That would send a huge message!

We've had 2 leaflets from the Labour candidate - one sent to me by post, one handed to me by him on the doorstep. DS has had a letter from Theresa May. Yesterday a leaflet was put through the door but nothing to say who had it printed - no party is mentioned at all, it's just anti-Tory. There's quite a lot of yellow on it, so possibly the LibDems.
Nothing yet from the Tory candidate, but he does get re-elected most times. Perhaps he feels there's no need to bother!

I actually just wanted to opt out of the mailings and leaflets. :rotfl:

If there's nothing on it at all, it's unlikely to be Lib Dem.

All candidate material must have full contact details of who caused it to be sent. If it doesn't and does mention voting for a particular party, it should be reported to the electoral commission.

I managed to weed the garden this morning before the heavens opened. But I welcome the rain, as it might wash some of the bird poo off the car (there's nowhere to park around here that isn't under a tree). And I've no driveway to park the car on while I wash it.

Thanks CK. It doesn't suggest voting for a particular party, just not voting for the Conservatives!

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Just got woken up by the sound of the rain hammering down - and there's another huge sky illuminating electric lightning storm too!
