LOL. Trouble is, they'd be a nuisance to me too. The only way is to develop an invisisbility cloak, then get out there and smear jam on their heads.

No gain without pain, though. :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

There has been a lot of local opposition to a draft plan to build over the local bus station - with up to 4000 new residents, but no new facilities for them. I was persuaded to email my 2p-worth in, and I have just received the following from the council:

    "Dear respondee

Thank you for your response ...

We are currently considering the representations that have been made on the draft Brief. It is clear from the high volume of representations that the draft Planning Brief cannot be progressed without significant revision.

    ... the Council will re-consult ... "

So, a result for local action, I guess.

Here we go again.... an intransitive verb being used as a transitive verb. :(

They only had to say "cannot progress..." or, if they must use the passive voice, "cannot be taken further".

(Y'all know what I mean? :rotfl:)

I must put that on the 'Aitch not Haitch thread'!

We've had storms overnight, thunder/lightning and LOTS of rain. It's cool, it's grey, it's overcast.... bit of a bummer for workers who rely on bank holidays being good weather as they're dates they can "guarantee" to be having off work.

It might not be too bad. I've had a look at the national forecast, and the south should stay dry today and tomorrow morning, and still warm, but there may be more rain and thunder tomorrow afternoon. Monday might be ok-ish.

That's the very general forecast, though, more localised ones might be better, or worse! :D

No storms here overnight and woken to clear blue skies and soaring temperatures.....but, it's all due to change later today and tomorrow, when I am planning on going to an all day outside gig, we are forecast flash flood quantities of rain.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

It's just started raining here, Sue, so I guess the rainy weather is coming your way!

Begger, Joe is at work today and is banking on getting enough hours to build up his kitty for a trip to Stratford next week....rain will put a stop to that.

Sue We had thunder and a downpour earlier, not a mention of any rain at all on the local forecast! Maybe it will be better where you are than you fear. Fingers x'd for you and Joe.

GDB that's good news :T Now we just need SouthEast Trains or whatever they call themselves these days to change their minds about having all the local trains go to Cannon Street next year rather than to Charing Cross, Waterloo East and Victoria. Atm some trains during rush hour go to Cannon Street, but the rest, and all off peak ones, go to more useful stations, with much easier access to places like some of the big London hospitals which people from here get referred to!

It looks like I'm ok until tomorrow noon, then a downpour followed by showers for the rest of the day.
    Great. :(
I'm not going out today, but was hoping to do some impromptu AmDram outdoors tomorrow lunchtime! :(
