I'll have to check out our local council and see if they assist. Bins can't be left near the front as a) I would never get out of my path and b) the neighbours and the housing association would never approve.
I'll manage as I have always done and will probably end up getting around the problem with a sort of PN like solution. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

In the old days when I was but a child the binmen used to collect the bin from the back yard, opening the back gate to do so. They would walk down the entry and into the yard and take the bin to the lorry.
This was changing by 1990 and I recall having a discussion with the binmen around that time and them expecting me to do half their job for them. Needless to say, I lost the argument on the basis that I wanted my bin emptied.0 -
I have had both a hornet and a queen bee in my bathroom at different times, I was given the task of capturing both.
Its mostly bumbles in my garden but we do get some honey bees, if that I do have to stop Jenson grabbing both.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

All that talk of wasps yesterday!
I have patio doors, one I open, one stays closed. I have a net curtain over those, so when I step outside I "hook" the open side net over the handle of the closed net/door....
Just stepped back inside and there was a wasp climbing at my head height up the net on the closed door side.
I didn't look to see "Ah, I wonder what sort this is".
I was grappling with the nets to twist/turn them so I could "hold" that bit of curtain outside so he'd fly away ... rather than running the risk of him flying into and around the room!
I won!0 -
Glad you managed to manoeuvre it out of the house PN
Sue I was going to suggest asking for assisted collection but everyone else has already got there. So sorry to hear Joe may have yet another problem, but as you say, if it's the case, it may well explain many of the others0 -

It's an interesting question what would happen if you smeared jam round the parking area? Would that attract wasps and make it a no-go area for doofers? And how about adults?
You might have to dress up all in black, then sneak out at 4AM to do the smearing, so nobody spots you. How cool is that?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Good idea!
Except........... you would have to brave the waspy frontline when you want to use the car, plus you could end up with a wasp in the car, which you don't see until you are driving!
How about hiring someone, preferably an old crone, with a house made of gingerbread?(NB.... remind her that she is not, under any circumstances, to get inside the oven!)
Personally, I think michaels's idea of the rat-catcher-piper is the most efficient idea.
Anyone know a Rentokill person who plays in the local symphony orchestra?(I just lurve spiders!)

Sorry for the defeatist post last night, think I was just feeling a bit woe is me at the time, the contact from the hospital (after initial tests), really made me wobble emotionally and then go into panic mode.
Things WILL be ok come September with all of them gone, I just have to think of it as a new beginning. We made it! LOL. Trouble is, they'd be a nuisance to me too. The only way is to develop an invisisbility cloak, then get out there and smear jam on their heads.0
