My scrap-paper jotters get used for lists, more lists, and lists of lists!

If it ain't written down, it don't get done!

Somet things have to have reminder notes written in bright red with exclamation marks and asterisks all over them , or they get overlooked/forgotten! And placed in several spots around the house!

Sometimes life seemed simpler when I was at work! At least then I had a sort of secretary-person to tell me what I was supposed to be doing! :rotfl:

I've made a 'Don't go out card' which I hang on the front door in certain circumstances.
It has things like...... 'Expecting delivery', 'Leave lights on', 'Turn heating off', 'Lock back door', 'Close window', to remind me not to go out if a delivery is expected, or first to lock the back door or windows!

I really do need it...I've proved it! :D

Josh has gone away for a small break to Cyprus with some uni friends and whilst stressing about him, I told him to write the word passport in very big letters on a piece of paper and to stick it to the door, his wardrobe and any other surface he could get it on....plus also set a reminder on his Ipad.

He has arrived safely now much to the relief of everyone.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    .... passport ....
I never go anywhere, but I did have to get a passport as a form of ID that's accepted these days when you have to prove who you are...

In order to not lose it between uses I bought some plastic/see-through wallets, 4-for-£1 at cheap shops, and I keep it in there...so if I'm ever looking for it I'm not looking for "a small dark thing that could be tucked in anywhere", but "A big C4 sized bright red plastic wallet". That'd have been tossed, still in the wallet, on the top of my bag when I first knew I was going to need it!

Well, the day didn't quite turn out as expected. It was lovely and bright and sunny earlier; I can only go to the launderette on Saturdays and Sundays, so Saturday is best as it gives the longest drying time potential (Saturday AND Sunday) .... popped all my stuff in the machine and walked over the road to shuffle round 4ld1 to see what they've got ... walking back it started raining.

So I'm now sitting here with two companions .... big airer with the sheets, blankets, towels, big-Tshirts (pyjama tops) and big-PJ-bottoms ..... and companion 2 is small airer holding over 30 pairs of knickers and some bras and socks :(

On the plus side, in 4ldi I had already noted that they have diced chicken on special this week. I'd been "gifted" some random jars of cooking sauces some months back and as buying chicken isn't on my usual list of things to ever do they were languishing. So I grabbed a pack of chicken ... and it's already in the slow cooker with one of those random jars (Sharwoods/Korma this time). £3.45 for 60 grams it was and already diced (so just had to spend 5 minutes snipping off a few random white bits remaining).

He's got one of those too for his important documents (in a lovely purple colour to make it more visible to him)..his problem would be that he would forget to take it out of the handy wallet as it just wouldn't cross his mind to do so :rotfl:

Just like he wasn't aware that he needed to write down the flight times, which airport they were going from, what day they were leaving and coming back etc etc until I told him to get a pen and a piece of paper, ask the questions and write the answers down!

He could remember the name of the villa they were going to though, so I suppose that was something :rotfl:

You have piqued my interest with that. Can I ask why you can only go to the launderette on Saturday and Sunday? I thought maybe it's to do with parking, but you can park at Aldi. So, it's one of those interesting puzzles.

Perhaps, we can all make guesses, and you can give little hints?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I think Aldi are strict on parking time (certainly are in the London area). There's always a queue of cars outside trying to get in and find a space.

Walkers have a plastic wallet that hangs from their neck on a string, for keeping their folded map inside - strangely, I saw one of those just last week and was very tempted to buy one ...

If I were a regular traveller, I'd have got one of those, round my neck, for my passport/tickets etc :)

My fear of losing them, or having them in the wrong bag, etc, would be too great to leave it to the chance that I'd get it right every time.

    :)

Look a plonker? Yeah, but you'd get there without problems :)

Although I would have to keep touching it, to ensure the bottom hadn't dropped out and/or the string hadn't broken :)

You could, but that'd be dull for people.

    :)

My washing line is right next to the fence. 2' from it is the waste skip for the site, which is perpetually having all manner of building cr4p/dust/debris tossed randomly in it, from great and low heights - and a big lorry collects it almost daily. Looming above the line are many builders, doing what builders do ... cutting tiles, cutting bricks, creating dust.

Even if the line were moved, with all that going on, it'd make no difference in a garden sized 20' wide and about 30' long or so.

Nobody would dry their washing on a building site.

But they don't work at weekends :)

Plus you don't want big burly builders ogling your smalls! :rotfl:

It did stop raining, so I did pin the washing out - but I am now "trapped" here until it's dry ... which is all day really .... in case it rains again.

Lots of dark clouds passing over, so it could rain at any moment.
