I don't think it was anything like that...... I'll go and check.......

If 3Gb is good, why have you got 64 Gb out of interest?

Edit.... with the O2 bundles, 64Gb iPhone SE is another £100 upfront, over the 16Gb, plus an extra £4 a month. (Upfront price of the phone increases from around £250 to £350).
The Coop phone doesn't seem to do a 64Gb, only a 16Gb, and I haven't looked at any others.
There are two types of memory, a bit like on the pc where you have RAM which affects how quick the computer is and hard disk which determines how many photos/songs/movies you can store. Apple hide this from you but with an android phone you get told both memory figures.

So if you have the 16gb iPhone and decide you need the 64gb then you can pay 'only' £100 and just swap from one to the other? Or do you have to abandon the 16GB that is deliberately designed so it can't be upgraded and buy the 64gb from scratch for about £700 if you are not paying it off over 24 months in a (hp) contract?
    I think....

So, how do you phone someone from a #pencil n paper device? :D

You read the number off the piece of paper and key it into a phone :p

For those old enough (or daft enough to like comedy older than themselves) there was a classic bit in The Goon Show February 7th 1957 episode "The Mysterious Punch-up-the-Conker", where Eccles had a piece of paper with the time "writted" on it'

For those who don't remember it and are wonder what the heck I'm on about, there's a 3 minute or so audio clip on this link.

The 64 Gb one is £369 at Argos, and £345 at O2 which is my current provider, so I'm not sure where you get £700 from.

I wouldn't be paying it off over 24 months. There is the option of paying for the phone upfront for a reduced monthly amount for the usage. That's the option I'd take. The monthly amount is about £25 which includes the option of 3Gb.

I probably wouldn't really want the smallest version, as I know from experience that once I find what I can do with the new thing, I start using it more. My current iPad is 128Gb because I maxed out on my old one which was 64Gb. (Long story, shan't bore you with it). And I only had one video on it! :D

Do you know, I have never heard that! I was too young for the Goons when they were on the radio, and so never really got into them.

I do remember Michael Bentine's TV show, in b/w, when he had those funny little moving figures doing silly things! I found that very funny...."up the first ice slop", "up the second ice slop".:D

So was I - I must have heard some somewhere and found that it tickled my fancy so tried to get as many of the shows as possible.
Totally silly of course, but IMO highly hilarious.

Others of an era older than me (or at least me being allowed to listen) that I like include The Navy Lark, Round the Horne, Beyond Our Ken, The Men From the Ministry (although I do remember hearing some of those when I was a sprog) and, of course, the totally brilliant Hancock's Half Hour.

I do remember them. They were on the radio in the 60s, and usually coincided with Sunday lunch, or just after. I did like those, although a lot of the innuendo in 'The Navy Lark' and 'Round the Horne' was a bit over my head! You kind of knew they were being naughty, even though you didn't know what the naughtiness was! :D

Oh yes, especially Julian & Sandy and Rambling Syd Rumpo from Round The Horne, both featuring the late, great Kenneth Williams in some of his best work ;)

I would, if it were on my list of devices!

You'd have to give me all its details, but then you'd have to kill me!

Interesting question, actually. Would it work with a non-Apple device?

Talking of phones, I'm toying with two providers for a smart phone. As I've never had a smart one before, how do I decide how many Gb to go for?

Well, whatever you did, it worked! I put my hand in my fleece pocket, and there was the missing phone. Such a clever app you must have used to get me to put on the fleece. :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Ohhhhhh yesssssssss! The powerrrrrrrrr!

I'll put the invoice in the post, shall I?

Or I suppose it should be put in the email inbox, really!

Just a thought...... is the Find my iPad feature the present-day equivalent of praying to St.Anthony? :D
