I loved the Portuguese song. I liked that it was stripped back, gimmick free, and was 100% Portuguese. It had a nod to the traditional Portuguese ballads of the Fado genre, as well as a little bit of slow bossa nova. And the lyric structure worked because they were in Portuguese, which is a very lyrical language.
Brilliant, just brilliant.
Winning songs have been sung in English for many years, but for the last two years have been in different languages, the first time that has happened since 1991/2. The audience also booed neighbour voting. A corner has been turned. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I don't know why they can't still do that, as it does help the enjoyment if you know what the song is about.(I just lurve spiders!)

The in laws are here. We just told them that Portugal won. You'd think she'd be happy but the MIL just pretended to faint and said she's ashamed to be Portuguese! She thinks they cheated, the song is that bad.
Hilarious!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

When noise gets too much we use ears plugs. DH has sensitive hearing and doesn't like noise either. Something like these:

Could you buy at one boot sale and sell at the next? That would keep you occupied and possibly make some money.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It's just one item .... ebay or facebook will shift it. Paid £4, should be able to get that back easily enough. New they're £30 I think.
It's all theoretical at the moment anyway as I left it outside in the garden to "air" - taking it out of the cover.... and I went to move it and the whole thing pinged open!!! So I scrubbed it all inside.... and tackled folding it back down.
4 attempts and an injury later it's currently down/wrapped, but 50% too big to fit into the cover.... somewhere it needed one more twist/fold than I managed to work outSo I opened the shed door and put it in there.
I could make money videoing myself multiple times failing at folding it away
This is the type

Ah, I see what I did wrong there - I got so far and then he folds his inwards - and I folded it outwards.
If I can do it .... I might keep it 1-2 years and see if I actually use it.
I was talking about the 5p gravy boat. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. And, it'd be nice to hear the sounds of summer. Right now it's silent out there, I've the patio doors open and I can hear the grass blowing in the wind and lots of birdies, near and far. Lovely.PasturesNew wrote: »One 5p gravy boat .... is not the gravy boat to riches
