    Can't you just use 3/4G?
TalkTalk mobile doesn't work in the building.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

I'll just wait for the movie to be available online. There is no point anymore in paying the cinema for one time only when you can subscribe online.

I use Meercat 241 for mid week cinema visits. Going this Wednesday evening with a friend.
There's also a 25% discount through the Gourmet card which I tend to use for occasional weekend cinema trips.

Had a very MSE day yesterday. DH has recently opened a new current account, and got six vue cinema tickets for opening it. We used two at the cinema yesterday, and then walked five minutes up the road to Prezzo for a meal using Tesco clubcard vouchers.

Earlier in the day, DD and I went for for coffee and and cake in Cafe Nero using vouchers from exchanging Nectar points. :)
Could do with a few more days like that. :D

Its a joke now, took my 2 kids, wife and me spent about £80 in total! I do not know how they can charge so much, no wonder why people are pirating movies now.

You can also use nectar points at Vue cinema as part-payment or full payment (depending how many you want to use) although meerkat movies codes are a much better option if going Tues or Weds as they are cheaper and valid at most chains

As a family we love going to the cinema, but agree it is insanely expensive. To save a little money we bring our own water and snacks.

No, not as far as I know.

I don't think there's a child or senior Unlimited card, either.

    Well look at your ticket.

For every £10 that is taken over the box office for a ticket, who gets what is as follows.

£2 goes to the government as 20% Vat.

£6.40 to the film company They usually take 80 % of ticket price on the first 3 - 4 weeks of a film, if only one person sees it or a full house.

£1.60 goes to the cinema showing the film.

So who is making the most money?

    The film company.

And they then take further money off of you at least 6 times more by the way they sell the film on in the leisure industries,e.g. DVDs, streaming, Sky Movies, BBC, ITV etc.

Do you ever complain about that?

As for the cinema food prices. Yes they are a bit on the high side. It's the only place they can make a profit.

But then again who moans about the high prices of a pint of Lager or a bottle of wine in a restaurant.

So think all of the above when you shell out £20 for the latest copy of a DVD of that Disney film the kids keep pestering you for, after you have seen it in the cinema. Then the extra cut of that price the film company then gets again.

Please moan about that as well.
