Cinema Getting Too Expensive?

2 tickets for price of 1 isnt bad, even cheaper if you know someone with a Cineworld unlimited pass and you get in for free.
Really? I didn't think it would work like that. I've wanted to get an unlimited pass for a while but thought it might annoy my friends if I only wanted to go to cineworld from then on and not the odeon which is closer. If they got in free I dont think they would mind!It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

Yes - unlimited works with meerkats movies, just as it used to work with Orange Wednesdays.0

I don't think you should include snacks in the cost of going to the cinema, they're hardly essential to the experience.
To add some historical context to the pricing, I found an old diary of mine from the late sixties and I went to the cinema two or three times a week when I was still at school and had to buy tickets out of my Saturday job money.0 -
Odeon near me is £5.25 a ticket for everyone (extra £1 for premier). Sadly it's not the nicest of cinemas. They want £17.99 p/m for limitless so not worth it in my opinion.
Nearest Vue and Cineworld are over £10 per ticket but are far nicer cinemas. Both have alcohol licenses too. I did have unlimited card but found that the only films I wanted to see recently, I wanted to see them in the superscreen which was an extra £4 each.
I never buy food at cinema now except maybe ice cream, I always bring stuff in. Butterkist cinema popcorn is far nicer in my opinion.0 -
Biggest rip off is "Everyman" cinemas, £15 a pop, dont take meerkat movies, you sit on a manky old sofa, with the chance of someone eating burger & chips next to you, UGH.....oh and no wi-fi0

Membership is "only" £600 which give members 2 tickets to every screening for one year. So...based on £15 tickets you and your guest would have to visit more than 30 times to start seeing value.
They do take CEA carer cards and they do accept student ID (very easy to get) so if you're a student on PIP/DLA you can get two tickets for slightly less.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Actually you don't need wi fi if you've already downloaded the code, it stays on you mobile. But as they don't take it is irellavant. Those of us who don't have data need wi fi!0
