Please stop feeding the troll, the person in jail, who allegedly broke the law, won't like your comments and may try to do bad things to you upon release, although as they are inocent you should all be ok.0

Well innocent or not they have been inside for over 12 months so it must be a very minor crime -not!0

either violence, or as the OP said we would all judge if she told us, I suggest a prison along such lines as Peterhead, HMP Whatton, or Littlehey.0

No he had a few visits before he in prison before they found excuses.
And he lives south of the border.
Alleged as in he could be innocent but the law decides he is guilty so thats what matters.
Even at the time everyone was saying he wont go to jail and even wondered why it made it to court in the first place due to lack of evidencee but it was all twisted to extremes.
If he had been found innocent, would you have been so happy if people had said he was possibly guilty? Legal guilt or innocence is what actually matters.0 -

The thing is though theres no clear answer either way on innocence as its all circumstantial what ifs.
What is known though is the police got in triuble for altering statements, and complaints were upheld against social worker.skcollobcat10 wrote: »You are completely wrong on the points you make.
I worked in a prison for many years and the standards are far better than how you say.
The meals are of a good standard and there are options for free education for inmates to study.
Their healthcare is better than for the ordinary public.
They have no worries financially with regard to keeping a roof over their head or bills to pay like the ordinary public.
Yet you don't know that standards vary by prison, at his last one there was a good visitor centre as well, this one they want like £1.20 for a can of juice on the open day and the food was better, this one its basically microwave quality meals at best.
And as soon as he is out he will have worries about finding work due to having a criminal worry.0 -
.....
He is in a theraputic wing of prison and his mental health has even got worse over the years as he lost everything, none of his friends wanted anything to do with him after he was arrested even made excuses about it.
So now he is in a small room and left to rot, when he is released he wants to get his life back on track and start fresh, he cant do that if he is just stuck in a small room and no contact with the outside world.
Is this the same person? My relative is spending their time teaching foreigners English, call centre work for people who have issues like depression, does extra volunteer work over their quota and wins multiple awards in prison for their work.0 -
It's good that he's doing something to occupy his time, so maybe it's a bit of an exaggeration claiming he's been left to rot in a tiny room with no access to the outside world.
All that aside. Prison sentences are not handed out just because the Judge is having a bad day. Was there a pre-sentence report ?0 -

Of course its clear cut they are all out to get you, but not clear cut for a person found guilty of who knows what crime in a court of law.
Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me!0 -

I meant that as if to say would they rather someone rot away or do something useful and have part of their rehabilitation being like a small luxury that can be taken away that luxury is worked for as a bonus not a given.
Not totally sure but I do know at the trial it was meant to be restarted after the weekend but the judge wanted it rushed through on the Friday.
I don't know if hes innocent but if he did its so far out of character and the evidence that was presented was all circunstantial.
There was a lot of problems in the case such as evidence that supported him going missing as there was a local flood at the time, funny how all the evidence that can be used as negative against him survived though.0
