G'day everyone. Sorry I've been MIA for the most of this week so far. I've got one of those grumbling migraines again. Took some tablets this morning and slept for half an hour before lunch, but I still feel as if someone is inside my head, trying to push my eyes out. Oh well, it will go when it's ready, so I'd better just get on with life.
I managed to marzipan the 4 wedding cake layers this morning. I had guessed the amount of marzipan and have still got 4 large packets left over. If anyone needs some, PM me your address and I'll post a packet to you!
Big (((hugs))) to MMM - it sounds like you're having a rotten week, worse than mine. Hopefully things will improve for you soon. Keep an eye on your DH though - people who are depressed often don't recognise that they are, because the symptoms build up slowly over a period of time.
Hope your DS has enjoyed his "open day", YL.
Get a move on Baby Frizzle!
CY said she would be starting her course of chemo this week, so I expect she is feeling the effects atm.
DGD1+2 are coming for an hour this afternoon between school and swimming lesson. I kept a piece of wrapping paper with colourful owls on it especially for them, so I think we will do some quiet cutting and sticking rather than have them jumping all over my DH which is their usual game, to conserve their energy for swimming!
I'm going to S&S the bathroom next, then go out in the garden for half an hour and tidy up the flowerbeds. The sun is shining, and we've got some lovely hellebores and crocuses in bloom.
See you later x0 -

*bounces in*.. Afternoon everyone
Have a day off from therapy and what do I do - book the car in for her MOT..!!! Was hoping to go out for a birthday lunch but I fell asleep on the sofa.. boy does this therapy take it out of me...lol. Anyway the car has to go in for 3pm and then I am heading to a friends for a "kiddies" party - mine!!! My little nieces and nephews want to give me a real kiddies party - jelly and ice cream and stuff.. We are even hoping that my great nephew can be released from hospital tonight too - he was rushed in on Friday evening with what turned out to be meningitis, poor wee thing is really grumpy and just wants to come home. If they agree he will have to go in once a day for his intravenious antibiotics, but that is up to the hospital I suppose.
Please keep fingers crossed that my little car passes her MOT later, otherwise I am screwed because I have to drive to therapy three times a day..and not sure if they have a courtesy car..lol
Oh well better go and do some flying - the washing up needs doing as does the cat tray. Thrilling!!!!!Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Happy Birthday, Natty - enjoy your party, especially the jelly and ice cream nom-nom
Pigpen, I used to eat marzipan by the slice too, and I did eat a little bit this morning but I've gone off sweet things. Yes, I might make some marzipan animals with / for the grandbeasties, - but not four large packets' worth :eek:0 -
I have a children's party every year Natty (followed by a grown-ups party). It's always fun
Ionafan - battenburg cake?0 -
Afternoon all.
Coppers - Just join in with todays list, don't try and play catch up just yet. Do what you can each day from Level 1 and the following week it'll be easier and you can add in level 2's and so on. The house didn't get in a mess overnight, and it won't get all cleaned & sorted overnight either
Iona & Pigpen - I just eat marzipan straight as well. I've had to stop buying it until I need it as it never lasts more than a week
Just cracking on with some filing/clearing my hotspots so watching TV while I'm at it.My letter rack is cleared now except what should be in it, so its onto my planner basket and updating budget sheets which should have been done sooner
I'd have done the windows etc except I appear to have no cleaning cloths again, I may have to buy some more. Washing is in the drier or on the line. Its not drying due to lack of sun and lack of wind. I think I'll just stick to the two loads today as a result.
Zack is currently snoozing on the sofa after being traumatised while I vacuumed downstairs. It would appear that when he gets stressed he likes to run round in circles, jump on the sofa and try to get hold of DD's photo on the bookcase or anything that smells of us. Its like having a toddler again having to keep things up high :rotfl: It also explains why my journal was in the middle of the floor when I got in yesterday. My landlady had knocked while I was out so he must have got stressed out

Hi can I join in please, could really do with the motivation to get the housework done.
Welcome Coppers! Posting really does help with motivation, so let us know how it's coming along.
Happy birthday Natty!
I've been to the dentist and been drilled and filled but I have to go back on 4 March to get the rest of the work done. The temazipam I took to take the edge off the nerves sent me into a wonderfully happy place for a whole hour which should be rather worrying but ... who cares! If they go on having this strong an effect I'll start positively looking forward to treatement.
One WM load out on the line and it's just been rained on a bit, so I got the smaller things in. I somehow managed to get beetroot juice on two of them so they're now soggier than if I'd left them out there.Better is good enough.0
