Afternoon!
Paid stuff supposed to be finished but isn't - but I've collected the kiddies so it ain't happening just now. I'll see if I can get finished tonight but may need to do some tomorrow... Meh! I'm getting my hours back for this one - ain't it amazing that my role is redundant yet I'm having to work extra hours??? <rollseyes>
Anyway, I'm having a brew and sifting through book bags, while DSL plays a racing game and DDS is having a pretend picnic
I did get a wash done today and I'll spend a bit of time at bedtime getting stuff put away in my room.
Must check if swimming is on this weekend.
Sorry I'm not fully caught up with the thread, but hugs, baby-out vibes and sticks flung as required xxxBossymoo

Afternoon,
Blimey it's taken me ages just to catch up with the thread! Trying to get some meaningful flying done this afternoon, as precious little done over last few days. Tiny BD been sniffing round. I honestly think it's partly to do with the weather as I feel much more positive today because it is sunny. Also house getting me down again. Trying to get OH to relinquish some control and actually pay someone else to do the work, but he really is not keen. it is driving me nuts.
Anyway, frizzle, have you got any good bumpy roads near you? If youve tried curry and the other thing, that is all I can think of!
mmm that was a bad day, hope things get better x
Right, off to fly x0 -

Lol I told my eldest she inherits any siblings who are too young to look after themselves when I die. She's now praying I'm immortal.:rotfl:
Ironing basket is completely empty, ours is put away, ds2 is just doing his and DS1 is taking his up in a bit as he's only just got in from work.
3 loads of washing out on the line so it won't stay empty for long.
Just swept through downstairs so going to make tea now, it will be something with cauliflower cheese as I've got a cauli that needs using up.SPC~12 ot 124

Dd3 had the right idea, she called dibs on the tortoise. I have only got one left under 18 but as dd1 pointed out he'll probably never be mature enough to be fully responsible for himself. He gets too 'mummied'SPC~12 ot 124

Got S's report from educational psychologist and it confirms dyslexia and dyscalculia - he's going to need a lot of extra help at school but will get things like extra time for exams plus a scribe I think. I know he's only 9 now but time goes so quickly and the psychologist mentioned about help for SATs and review again in Yr 9. He has very fragile confidence - especially where numbers are concerned - so needs to be brought along slowly. I feel sad he's starting out with this but he's really fab in other ways and already great at engineering/fixing type things so he'll just probably go down a very different path to his big sister.
It's great that this has been investigated while is is so young. Don't forget that what he is good at is BECAUSE of the way his brain works. I hate it when people say "she's dyslexic but never mind she's a great hairdresser" like it was some consolation prize. She is a great hairdresser because she has outstanding spatial awareness skills/creativity/can see the whole picture etc. Her brain works differently from "average" but we all have strengths and weaker areas. Western society holds literacy skills in high esteem hence the word 'difficulty' if you happen to have other types of abilities. The biggest difficulty in all these is poor short term and working memory because people don't always associate them with dyslexia, so they are patient when a child gets e.g. spellings wrong as they know it is the effects of dyslexia, but they get cross when the child forgets instructions or directions.
Anyway don't start me on my job! I'm glad he is being supported.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
