My 29th day of using MyFitnessPal and I have lost 7lb.

Good going. It really does make you think a lot about what goes into your mouth and your activity doesn't it. I'm off to the gym this morning because we are out tonight - lovely RunRig concert and Italian beforehand which will blow my calories for the day(I'm a sucker for Seafood Rissotto):D

Mumof2.. my mother paid 3120 for my sister an assessment because the school refused to do it.. once she had the report the school refused her any help and refused to acknowledge she had an issue.. it is disgraceful what they get away with!

That's awful! For us the school haven't contributed financially but we have been offered support in practical ways and I think his teacher is as keen as we were to get him assessed and see what more can be done to help. The report suggested lots of ways S can be helped so I hope this will be a fresh start for him.

Yorkshirelass really hope the interview/open day goes well for DS and you have every right to be proud of him.

CY and Skinty hope you're both recovering.

Narco well done on the weight loss!

Stinking headache today so will take some parrots - I'm tired but was having intrusive thoughts when I woke so got up; hate hate hate my mental health but at least I'm learning how to cope. Someone from the BHF is coming between 8-12 to take away S's old single mattress as there's still plenty of life left in it. Will do yet more washing. I've been doing a load every day and still it looks like I haven't done anything.

Getting on well with my knitting and done over half of my jumper but am using bulky yarn and 9mm needles so positively flying along! Might have a go at a pair of socks next. Have any of you seasoned knitters tried the fish lips kiss heel? I've got the pattern and may give it a try.

I have a couple of calls to make, an appointment at 11ish and Dot the Evil back to nursery.. she refused to put on her coat so she went in the car wearing a short sleeved polo top and a pinafore screeching she was cold.. she had taken off her cardigan and refused to put on her coat.. she will learn!

Looks like this years wood pigeons have been eaten as eggs by the crows.. poor cats will miss out on a breakfast!

Lovely scarf Pigpen; so bright and cheerful! Had to smile about Dot as she sounds like a proper little handful .... she'll learn.

BHF came and collected S's old mattress - luckily I'd just finished getting dressed from my shower. Had to take a picture of the mattress for S of course but if that's all it takes for us to get rid of things from his room I'm fine with that.

    Morning :)

Narco - Well done! I'm aiming to loose 24lbs by the end of the year minimum but I just can't get my slimming mojo back :( I'm hoping when the days are longer I'll be more inclined to get up and moving and walk the dog twice a day or even get back into the early morning walks down to the river.
YL - good luck to your DS.
    Pigpen - love the scarf.

All the dailies are done, and Zack has been walked. There was lots of stopping and making him sit when he pulled so it took us 10 minutes to walk a road that normally takes 3 but he was improving, until he saw a cat then everything was forgotten lol Its almost impossible to get him to do it on the main road though, if I try to get him to do no pull there he lies down and starts crawling which is not good over broken tarmac :o:rotfl:

As soon as this wash load is done in the machine I'll hang it out then drag the vacuum upstairs to do the bedrooms/bathroom. DD only did them the other day but the carpets are covered in bits. That'll then be a big chunk of the lists crossed off when I bring it down and do downstairs. For now I'm going to get on with something else, although I'm not sure I can manage the flinging, there's not much else left that I can fling!.

  • YL- good luck to your ds. It's all good experience for him.

CY- we are missing you. Hope you are ok.

Sorry I didn't get on last night. We had an impromptu visit to the hospital. At about 8.30pm I realised I hadn't felt baby for a few hours and couldn't remember the last time she had moved. So we were called in for monitoring. By the time we got home and settled it wS nearly 1am! They were absolutely rammed, with two ladies in the waiting room clearly in labour as they didn't have any beds. I felt so sorry for them. So after a long wait (where I felt baby move!) we were hooked up to the machine. Heart rate was a little high so was on the machine for a little longer, moving positions to get a better reading. Anyway, upshot was, everything was fine! I did get to talk to one of the lovely midwives who said she could understand me not wanting to be induced and was more than happy for me to just go in and be monitored on Sunday. So that makes me feel better!

So today, I have been at a school coffee morning and then come back and had another cuppa. So really need to crack on. Here is my list for the rest of the day. Will check in at lunchtime to hopefully tick some things off!

    Morning!

I think it's shocking that in this day an age children can't access even basic support. Schools these days just seem to care about numbers and ticking boxes. DD is in reception class and on her 4th teacher since September. There is no handover between the Mon-Wed teacher and the Thu/Fri teacher. There are weeks she doesn't even get a reading book to bring home as the TA takes them out of her book bag for some reason. They seem incapable of communication. There was a parents assembly on Tue that wasn't advised until a letter home on Monday night. We get a new head at easter so I'm hoping things improve...

    :p

So! This morning I've got a few bits of shopping in, striped and remade my bed, dusted all around and tidied everything away. Even polished the mirrors :) just need to haul the vac upstairs.
Also had a quick LR tidy then stopped for a brew. Boss just phoned - someone chasing a piece of work I sent them on Monday. They had filed it <rolleseyes>. He text me after, joking "you'll miss this when you've gone".

Bedding in washer, and I'm sorely tempted to sort DD clothes out. I picked up two cute tunic dresses in the sale for her today - long sleeve, soft fabric, perfect for holidays after a swim when she's a bit chilly.

DS also has a tee that he loves, but it's so grubby now, all misshapen. I've been searching for something similar, so I asked him what he loved about it (it's bright and colourful but also is cosy - it's sort of a waffle / ribbed fabric). I think I've found a replacement - and maybe he'll let the old one go... :)

Right. Suppose I'll take that vac upstairs...
