Is it bedtime yet for me? :o

Paid stuff is almost ready to go, I just need to hit submit but I'm giving it another 45 minutes just to be sure I've got all the orders in. ;)

Lots of laundry done, I have one load that needs drying but the forecast tomorrow is dryer so I'll save it and put it on the line. I managed to have a shower, put some make up on and get out to parents evening...running an hour later than I planned :o I didn't manage to get my treat coffee, instead it was straight off the bus, in the school and sit down with a teacher. I was cooked, and nothing has stuck :o:o Lift home from ex and straight back into getting my work done.

Now I'm going to put DD down the bed, wash my face as my eyes are itching with wearing mascara, have something to eat, wash some dishes (only what we need for the morning :o), submit my order and then go to bed. I'm exhausted. Tomorrow I shall fly....hopefully.

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Hi guys. I don't often post but I always avidly read the threads and enjoy reading about your lives.

I'm after some advice. About a year ago we had a tiled floor put down in our kitchen, fake black/grey slate tiles with light grey grouting. We have two dogs and this is their route in from the garden. Needless to say the tiles are getting rather grubby/muddy, as is the grout and no matter whether I get the mop and bucket out, or get on my hands and knees and scrub, I can't seem to get them nicely clean. Can anyone suggest a method or products to help? Would a stream mop help or just make it worse?

    Thanks in advance 😀

Bossy- It sounds like you have had a very long day juggling everything. I'm not surprised there was no flying. Be gentle on yourself!

Mmm- what an awful couple of weeks. Hope you manage to get everything sorted!

Atb- hugs. Tomorrow us another day and hopefully it won't start so early!

Kjgkjg- welcome. Sorry can't offer any advice but I'm sure someone else on here will offer their pearls of wisdom.

steam mops are rubbish in my experience.. just a series of clean buckets of water and cloths are the best option.. as for the grout.. again scrubbety scrub... and you can get a silicon sealant for them which stops the dirt seeping into the grout.. are the tiles not glazed??

Not done a lot tonight as still quite uncomfortable from earlier. Thought things might be heading in the right direction but it all seems to have eased off now! Just cleared up the kitchen from hubby making pancakes and sat and folded some carrier bags. They now all fit much better n the cupboard and don't have to fight against the door to keep them in!

Book party still waiting to hear back from bro to confirm date

Up really late - just don't feel tired. Feeling quite unsettled but don't want to take sleeping tablet if I'm not desperate. Been checking out various bank accounts and have now switched to TSB as you get 5% cashback with Apple Pay on the first £100 each month plus 5% interest on the current account as well as 5% interest on savings. I don't really have savings but am hoping to start saving soon. Can you tell I've been watching Martin Lewis' programme?!!

Got S's report from educational psychologist and it confirms dyslexia and dyscalculia - he's going to need a lot of extra help at school but will get things like extra time for exams plus a scribe I think. I know he's only 9 now but time goes so quickly and the psychologist mentioned about help for SATs and review again in Yr 9. He has very fragile confidence - especially where numbers are concerned - so needs to be brought along slowly. I feel sad he's starting out with this but he's really fab in other ways and already great at engineering/fixing type things so he'll just probably go down a very different path to his big sister.

Frizzle sending more come on baby vibes!

Wolfie chucking an enormous stick for our 2 BDs to chase together. Be gone you 2 and leave us alone!

Dancemum what a lot of paperwork you sorted out! I've been happily burning some of my confidential waste I don't want to put in the recycling in our woodburner this evening.

Bossy busy times for you, flying can wait for now and you can just do some more as and when you're able to.

MMM so sorry to hear your news. Don't worry about letting off steam on here - goodness knows I do it and I know others find it useful too.

ATB a new day tomorrow ... or should I say today seeing as how it's half past midnight!

Right suppose I ought to try and go to bed now and just hope I go to sleep. If not .... more knitting yay!!!! Night everyone x
