OH collected DD3 and is now in bed.. with Pixie.. I may sleep down here I don't think my neck can cope with another night of her.. I am in agony I can barely support my head! I've had a jumper wrapped around my neck for support all evening..
I have the excitement of Tesco tomorrow IF I have money left after the bills are paid.. and I need to make Squeak a dr's appointment .. I couldn't get one tday, I think she has impetigo in her ear.. the eczema on her face is having a flare up so it could just be that which is infected but it looks awful and isn't improving.
Buttons on cardies and get those posted..
Find something to knit easter bunnies with.. Good morning ladies. I'm an early bird today because I can't sleep, so catching up on the thread. Loads of news from everyone.
I did giggle over the dustbin bag mishap MrsMP - yep, your day was worse than mine. Hope you're not too bruised x
Supporting vibes to you today Mumof2. Hope your counselling session goes well later.
Had a really good site meeting with the surveyor and loss adjuster yesterday and it looks like our insurers will pay towards preventative measure improvements as well as repairs following the flood, which is excellent news. I know lots of people have bad experiences with insurance companies, but mine have been wonderful through all of this.
Waiting for confirmation of a meeting with the lady from the Heritage Team regarding Listed Building Consent and advice on changes proposed. She's a tough cookie, but has been nice so far (although neighbours have had run ins and not good experiences with her) so we will see.
Got to blitz SS's room today as the skids are coming to stay for a few days and I've been using his room to do the ironing. I can't see his bed atm:eek:
Right, off for a shower to start the day xxx0 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok today and aches and pains are receding. Welcome Coppers.
Right, I've just had breakfast so will wash the dishes the make a start of today's list, bottom up so ironing first.

Morning
Glad everything is OK frizzle.
Thanks for the good wishes for DS. So, he went to this open day - first time he has ever managed to do anything like that without me. There was a big room set up with lots of tables for different jobs but no-one was there to explain what to do so he went to the first one and realised he was applying for a bar job which he didnt want - and he is under 18 anyway!
Then they didnt have a copy of his online application form (which we spent ages doing and weren't able to print out) so they asked him to do another. He completely froze and could hardly remember his address never mind stuff about why he wanted to do the job etc.
I just kept telling him its all good experience, but its just a shame it was so badly organised.
Its bad timing too. I have been given this chance to stand in for my boss (as well as doing my own job) for 3 weeks and I am loving it. It could lead to promotion but DS is struggling to cope with me not being around. I may have a hard choice to make about my own life and what I want to do and the need to support DS.
So I am working silly hours, DS1 is all over the place, DH is not very well and off to the docs today and DS2 is really struggling at school with maths and getting into trouble over it. Flying? Well I am trying to do what I can.
Sorry for the ramble, have a good Friday everyone x0 -
Frizzle hope things are moving in the right direction.
DH off to work. Awaiting In-laws surfacing. Will do what I always swear I will - Strip spare room, Clean said room, and remake bed ready for next visitors. (rather than last minute panic like yesterday)
Turkey chilli to make for dinner. Need to resist eating all the Chocolate Brownies I made yesterday. I tweaked the recipe and they are not as nice as the last lot, but they are still chocolate:DGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Morning all
Mumof2 hope today goes well
Frizzle hope things are good
CY thinking of you
LW hope they sort your money out soon
YS well done to your DS for going through with the day, it was a good experience for him and hopefully he enjoyed some of it and it gave him a little more confidence that he can do some things on his own.
Hugs good wishes and posi vibes to all who need them and sticks and spoons for those who want a supply.
Busy all day today, feel a bit stiff this morning but thankfully no bruises
Have a good day all. I'll catch up later.SPC~12 ot 124

Well no tesco as I have no money.. I even had to steal a bit out of my paypal so as not to be in the red!! I adjusted the loan payment date so it is coming out today instead of the 4th so the payment was a bit higher.. but my mother is unreliable at getting the money in on time and I have lots of DD's coming out the first week of the month... next month should be easier. I think the child benefit is on monday so I'll do tesco then.
My neck is slightly better this morning.
OH has been yelled at for dawdling.. why is there no urgency?? I got the girls ready and gave him one to put in the car so he starts faffing with his phone *freak out* ... seriously LEAVE IT ALONE FOR 5 SECONDS AND DO THE URGENT THINGS!!!!! *rage* Then he starts dawdling in front of me looking for hat in a place he hadn't even put it.. *slllllllllap* ...
Anyway.. they've gone... and I can have a cuppa without him...
Absolutely full of cold again.. my head is thick with it.. just what I need yet again!!
Still not got through to dr's... this is ridiculous!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Belated birthday wishes nattybags xx
Well I forgot to take the mufty day money to schoolso must remember later, plus bun-sale money.
I've just sorted one of the storage footstool things in the LR, having dawned on me it hasn't been opened in months so the toys within are not really wanted. It's baby doll clothes and accessories- DD doesn't really play with them so I'm thinking we need to gather them all up and edit together. So they are ready to go up to her room for sorting, and the storage box is now a home for pens, colouring books and stickers etc that usually litter the entire ground floor :T I repurposed a gift bag, trimmed to size, the stand colouring books on end, to stop them falling over. And a spare kitchen tub is housing all her little notebooks and mini activity books.
I'm going to photo her big a-frame drawing board and try sell it tomorrow. Can't remember the last time she used it. Ditto two pushchairs I have in my office - she is too big for them now...
And when the hail stops, I'm going to take the old rusty gazebo to the tip! And pop to the shop on the way back for my dad a birthday gift...Bossymoo
