    Tip run done :T
Picked up new trainers for kids (hope they fit - both wearing PE ones today, we finally have a shoe shortage!), bin bags and a Choc cake for my dad. He's just called to explain where he lives, lol. He said there's no point giving the address, it's a building site and not on sat nav yet heheh.

Also bought myself a mag so am going to have an hours feet up today. Was up in the night...

Going to get the mop out too, then replace some blown lightbulbs. Oh, and I might risk putting bikes in the playhouse again. I'll use a bike lock, plus the door is padlocked and alarmed. Lol. And the garden gate is padlocked...

    Afternoon all.

Forgot to post after reading the thread so hugs sticks spoons and vibes to everyone. :o

Dailies are done, 1 wash load in the machine has gone in the drier with the pale pink quilt cover from the sofa on the washing line in the rain as DD has got a tomato based pasta bake sauce on it which hasn't come out despite being washed twice  Aside from that its a work day today, I'm currently stamping orderforms with my details. Trouble is, sitting still means I'm getting cold fast so I'm drinking lots and lots of decaf coffee trying to keep warm. :o And its days like this which is why I switched to decaf after 1 cup of the proper stuff of a morning :rotfl::rotfl:

Cleaning cloths are in the washing machine on a proper wash to get all the cleaning stuff out of them, then I'll put them back through with some soap powder/vinegar to clean them. Hopefully by then the rain will have stopped and I'll be able to hang them out. For now though the cleaning is on hold. :p

    Hoppy Birdday Natty.:bdaycake:
I'm flapping with one "wing" today; shoulder is completely banjaxed. It's nothing to worry about, it does this from time to time - I get a few months of one or other area (this time my shoulder) hurting like blazes for no apparent reason, then it stops as suddenly as it started, and the pain shifts to concentrate it's efforts on another area. Weird, yes; annoying, yes; can do anything about it, no. I've managed to deal with a few cobwebs and general dusting though, and the kitchen and bathroom are being kept hygienic; that will have to suffice for now.

Finally got my PIP letter - I have a 3-year award of standard rate for daily living and enhanced rate for mobility (so thankfully my Blue Badge is safe). There's some stuff I disagree with, but I don't think it will make enough difference to my points to be worth challenging, so I shall just take what I've been offered.
Note to self: when they reassess me in 3 years time, take written notes with me to refer, including a list of all the stuff I use indoors specially because of being disabled; I've been using most of it for so long that I tend to regard it as "normal" kitchen stuff.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Glad you got your pip letter LW it's another thing you don't have to stress over now it's come,
Hope all are well, I've just got on from work.
Load of washing hung out dry stuff sorted and no ion put away.
Going to run the dyson round now do the last few bits of ironing is its dry and then think about food for tonight.
I'll be off list as next week is half term and Dh is off not sure what we have planned.

Sorry I've been MIA most of the week. This migraine is still grumbling on after 4 days. I managed to cope with DGD1+2 yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours and also got myself to the last choral society practice I could attend before our concert in March  (I'm running a course on the next 4 Thursday evenings), and this morning I did a lot of internet-based research and wrote a couple of complicated emails, but that's it. I have been putting food on the table, eating it and falling asleep! DH has mostly been getting on quietly with his cross stitching and the house is still tidy, though there's a bit of dust beginning to settle. I'll deal with it tomorrow, if I can. It won't hurt if I leave it until Monday! ;)

Sorry you've had a carp day, pigpen.
Hope all is well with Frizzle.
Love to CY and Skinty if they're reading this.
 to the PIP award, LW. Hope you shoulder improves soon.
Ouch, mrs-mp  (but your story did make me :rotfl:)
"Only another 500 forms" nicki ????? - however many books do you put out?

Must go and cook now... Catch up again later.

Rushes to catch up thread so haven't taken much in.
    Good news LW
    Hope head improves Iona

Managed to go to gym and do Body Attack this morning, was completely shattered when I came out. Dropped off at garden centre on the way home to get free coffee, valentine's card and chocs for Mr N.
One load washing done and hung up indoors.
Wrote myself a 'to do' list with 3 frogs. Did the worst one, a difficult email to a lady explaining why I wouldn't assess her.
2nd frog less bad, just that I don't much like making phone calls. Rang cruise company to change one of the tours Mum and I had booked. That was ok.
3rd frog more phoning and I haven't done it yet, to ring car insurance as having done a couple of comparisons (and got paid £4 for doing them!), they need to revise what they quoted me. Happens every year.
Finished a report and emailed it.
Put my food and exercise on MFP.
    Filled all bird feeders.

So all needed doing, 3 more things on my personal list of what I really want to achieve in next 2 days. Loads more I need to do and loads of flying to do.

    Weekend plan:
    Finish at least 2 reports.
    Write up 3 lessons.
Pick up clothes etc from bedroom.
    Go to supermarket.
Make soup for Lent lunch on Sun.
Get paperwork ready for Monday's assessment. Get lounge clean for the same reason.

No more rash promises but a bit of catchup would be nice.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Evening all, thank you for the birthday wishes, it was a weird birthday I will say.. Although now I'm not a happy bunny. My car failed her MOT yesterday and was in the car hospital having major surgery today :( (It was the brake pipes!!) She was impounded straightaway.. but I have just got home from therapy and there was a message to say she was ready to pick up tomorrow :D Unfortunately Dave will be £400 out of pocket..lol

That's a relief, because I had to drive Dave's car today to get to therapy 30 miles away, and I really didn't like it. I missed my little car, and his car hasn't got the oomph that mine has so it was interesting pulling away with three people in the car.. But I managed it..well apart from breaking down on the way to therapy. But it didn't take long for the RAC to come out and they fixed it whatever it was.. I don't do car electrics..lol

The jelly and ice cream was lovely, and I had KFC with Dave after buying cakes for therapy today. :D

    Welcome to
Coppers, you'll love it here, everyone is a lovely bunch and so supportive of each other :D
LW glad you got your PIP award, at least that's something you don't have to worry about now for another three years, and your blue badge is safe :D

I'm going to put my feet up for a bit until Dave gets home then I'll strip the bed, with his help, and the puppy's...lol

S**t day today - really upset S when he found out I'd bagged up some of his carp to chuck out, really hard session at Relate where I told J I'd been thinking of taking kids and just going and then I burst into tears as have been incredibly anxious and felt really sick. That was our last session - the counsellor thinks we'll be OK now but if I want to I can go and see her next week or as required as a 'top up' to help me improve my self esteem. Great.

Pigpen sorry you've had an awful day too.

Wolfie great news re the PIP. Have you got another guest coming tomorrow or am I imagining it?

Natty glad your little car is OK but not so glad it's going to cost £400!

Sorry, forgot everything else but hugs, sticks and spoons as needed x
