    Today's list:
    Hens and dog fed
Dog walks x 2, if it ever stops raining. I have decided there is little point in my going for a walk in the rain carrying a dog lead - and with the dog tucked inside my coat enjoying the scenery :rotfl:Managed just one short walk :(
Need to buy food for the dog and a tub of moisturiser for me - Savers are cheapest for the latter locally :)Added to supermarket delivery order - Ocado had one of the moisturiser brands I like on offer for the same price as Savers :T
Look through fridge and cupboards to see if I am running low on anything else, as it is 2 weeks since my last proper shop Yes, running out of veg oil, teabags, dishwasher tablets and other things. Did an Ocado order to be delivered bright and early tomorrow morning
Also need chicken / garden stuff but don't fancy lugging sacks about in the rain, so will probably postpone getting this (I have a little chicken food left, so they won't starve) Maybe tomorrow?
Make some pastry as OH wants to make what I think from his vague description is something like a beef wellington. Not sure how THAT will turn out  Well, it is in the oven, and it looks ok....
Make a loaf in the BM Done
    Hoover the stairs Done
Wash kitchen floor Not done, seems pointless with so much wet being walked in :(
Pop to sales unit while I am out to see if anything needed Done
Any surveys, FPL etc. Already done a survey for Yougov :)No more today, sadly

It has poured with rain all day :(

Did an 'annoying job' - sewed some tape on to 3 tea towels which had no hanging loop. Hopefully it will stay there - I don't like sewing and am not good at it :o
    Bit of paperwork for business
    Checked banks
Put dry laundry off airer in airing cupboard to finish off
Put a great big wet sheet on the airer -no chance of it going outside today :(
  • MTC - Sorry you're feeling down. Anyone who has kids will completely understand how you were feeling today. We have all been there, and shame on the grumpy old lady.
Bob - my mam always swears by scrambled eggs when you're trying to get better.

    [STRIKE] check banking and PAD[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] teeny spend on a light bulb unless I can convince dh to do it [/STRIKE] It wasn't a teeny spend. I'm sure light bulbs must come cheaper than £4.
    [STRIKE] get ds to football[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] both kids to gymnastics[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] review budget and update YNAB[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] sort through my online shopping from last night and allocate spending to pots[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] meal plan and batch cook for the week ahead[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] start a list for top up shopping[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] bit of housework[/STRIKE]
 tiny bit of schoolwork No
[STRIKE] get on with my crochet stuff because my to do list is getting long there and it's meant to be relaxing not stressy, lol.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE] drink lots of tea :beer:[/STRIKE]

I feel as though I've had quite a productive day today. Cleaned the bathroom, kitchen and hoovered - although I haven't managed to get the kids to do anything. They had better tomorrow  Finished my crochet love birds, and made a good start on the unicorn that someone has offered to pay for as well :D
I also did the top up shop at Mr S while I was there - I'd had a voucher about bonus N£ctar points so got a couple of things, plus a bonus 500 points. Then filled the car with petrol and got another 1000 points - so £7.50 altogether, lovely :j
Got home. Made butternut squash soup and sausage and lentil casserole a-la Jack Monroe. Now chilling out in front of the telly for the evening.

Had a really bad day with two naughty children....

My daughter threw a tantrum food shopping, the whole way round and whilst paying. As if I wasn't embarrassed enough, an elderly lady told her 'why don't you just shut up' which then meant I lost my temper and completely had a meltdown. Feeling so low again :(

Aww bless, try not to take it heart, just think it's just one day and tomorrow will be a fresh start for both of you - you are not alone at some point or other we've been there, we all feel your pain and embarrassment, please don't feel your alone. Could you maybe order your shopping online and give yourselves a break?

    Good Afternoon All

Ally - Thanks for starting us off today
Bob - Rest up and take it easy
Foxgloves - Glad you're feeling a little better, what new plan are you following they are great results
LaE - Hope viewings go well

Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.

Had a lie-in today (was woken by the postman hammering on the door) and then a text from DD saying she was going to call down with 2 of the grandkiddies (not hers, her brothers) and she would take them and our son to McDonalds later - so made the morning and early afternoon fly by with nothing done. So I aim to make up for it now and will:

Packed lunch for DH - Done
    Check Bank - Done
Watch film at home - Done
    Ironing - manana, manana
Craft - 14 cards made & more gift tags
Decluttering - (2 x bat/ball games, 2 x batman figures, 1 x bionicle lego thing, 1 x pencil case & pens, 1 x colouring book, 1 x box of crayons, lots of shredding, skincare samples, star wars cards - all taken by DD and grandkiddies)
    Read -
Continue purge on Emails - Done a few
Enter a few comps - Done a few
All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer - Done
Check https://www.freepostcodelottery.com - Remember there are now 5 chances to win - Done
    Check Lucky Phone - Done

Have a good weekend! Love to you all!

    C x

Achieved quite a bit, looking forward to another good day tomorrow.

Love and hugs to all, Night

    C xx

  • Evening Lovely Moneysavers!

Having a pretty good day today. Just the right mix of productive and relaxing.

Make the Change, don't feel down. It does get easier. :)

My little list of today's things -

:pFinally got OH to scan CDs for Music Magpie. They've been uploaded to Google Music for months and I'd have been happy to chuck them in the skip they've been sat in the corner that long. Not out of the house yet, though - need a box!

:pDecluttered my 'tall drawers', which is where I keep all my lotions and potions. Freed up two drawers and I now have a huge bag of hotel miniatures (OH stays away a lot for work) that I am planning to decant into some big bottles for further penny pinching kudos.

:pAll meals from stores, including DS's packed lunch that he needed for an event today.

:p Long, useful conversation with OH about budget tracking - we've been having a fiddle with YNAB and, although I like the idea of zero sum budgeting, I also need some forward forecasting. We spent a while looking at Youtube videos of other people's spreadsheets and came up with a plan. I have now left him with a 'software update request' for an overhaul to my existing spreadsheet. I've just realised that this whole paragraph is probably deeply boring for other people, but it's exciting to me!

:p Resisted the urge to get a takeaway tonight even though we're all cream-crackered. In fact, eating cream crackers instead!

:p Did a couple of Google surveys.

:P Oh, also, this was last night, but I sat and cleared both my inboxes. I use Google Inbox and it's super-easy to do. I had thousands and thousands in one of them but it's crazy-simple to get rid of them all, so just a heads up if anyone is struggling with getting on top of emails.

    My Physio OH says:

Eat foods that are easy to digest like smooth soups. Carbs and sugars might wear you out. Digestion uses lots of energy.

Keep the fluid intake up. Stay off alcohol. Dehydration won't help.

Rest as much as you can. Get someone to do your housework for you. :D

Do a teeny tiny bit of exercise to ensure you sleep well, even walking to the garden gate and back.

    Yours,

    Dr Dowd.

Thanks Ally that's great. Really good advice. I will try the soup thing tommorow.

Yesterday I relisted an item on ebay at a lower price so hopefully it will sell even if only for a few £.

Today I have just added more lunch to my bag to take to work as my attempts to not buy extra choc/crisps/sarnies at work are currently not going well! Will at least get through today without going to the shop for a choc bar!
