Morning All
Feeling very weak today. I have had to come back to bed. Have a visitor coming soon so hopefully will pick up a bit. I think it's lack of food for so many days. Basically a week from Friday onwards of no eating on and off. I know I just need to build myself up again but I am not used at all to this feeling of absolute zero battery. Any tips for people getting well after a long illness?
One thing I did manage to do in hospital was participate in an online focus group which made me £50 in Amazon vouchers. Will allocate them for presents.
Lunch will be from leftovers. Pizza and salad. My family will sort that out.
Bye for now

My Physio OH says:
Eat foods that are easy to digest like smooth soups. Carbs and sugars might wear you out. Digestion uses lots of energy.
Keep the fluid intake up. Stay off alcohol. Dehydration won't help.
Rest as much as you can. Get someone to do your housework for you.
Do a teeny tiny bit of exercise to ensure you sleep well, even walking to the garden gate and back.
Yours,
Dr Dowd.

Hello Frugalistas,
Awoke feeling much less poorly. Still not much energy & still very snotty, just not the industrial quantities I was dealing with yesterday & Thurs. Not the biggest or best list in the world, but it's not a competition, is it!
*Not an NSD as mr f popped into town for a haircut (from his own spends) & the couple of bits which were out of stock for our online grocery order last night.
*He brought back free coffees from Waitrose, & a 'Guardian' courtesy of loyalty card.
*Found out that our nectar card had won 500 free points on one of these random scans they do. Think it's about £2.50. Not a fortune, but as my Gran would have said, 'Better than a slap in the belly with a lump of wet cod'.
*Cleaned whole house between us using minimal products & washable microfibre cloths.
*Changed bedlinen & loaded washer for cheap overnight wash.
*Binbags supplied free of charge by the 5 charities who have popped them through our door this week.
*Entered 2 competitions.
Still not got much energy so the rest of today will be spent amusing myself with leisure pursuits - Knit more sock, read library book (finished one yesterday), more family history research & 'Shetland' & more 'Vikings' to watch. Grocery budget overspent this week. We haven't been spendy. The reason is that we have started a new diet plan & are having to restock with a few different things. I expect it will even out as we get going with it, especially when it's growing time in the veggie garden. Weigh-in this week. 4.5lbs off for me & 5lbs off for mr f, so I was pleased with that, particularly as I've felt too grotty to do any exercise.
Have a good weekend, everyone.

Afternoon all, thanks for starting Ally
Torrential rain here today, made my drive to the garage in another town interesting! It hasn't been a NSD as I had a garage bill to pay for new suspension arms and brake pads. I used the last bit of my birthday money and the money I got for my sofa last week towards it
We're going to a friend's housewarming do this afternoon so I popped to Aldi and got her some lovely lilies for £3.20. I find their flowers last ages too - the orange carnations I got last Saturday are still going strong and were only £2 - I find they really brighten up the kitchen/ my mood!
All meals from stores today and tomorrow. Might need to do a little shop for fruit and veg for the week ahead
Banking checked and money from the wedding pot shuffled around. OH paid in £100 and I paid the deposit for my makeup. We had another RSVP so I've updated the guest list. I had a nightmare about wedding dress shopping last night so I think the whole thing is starting to subconsciously get to me!
Surveys/ FPL to do
Hoovering done. Dusting/ ironing/ bathroom to clean. We have some stuff I can list on the staff selling page at work so I'll photograph it this weekend

Hello all!
I'm currently moving to my gf's parents for a few months to save before our new house is ready.
So today was all about emptying my kitchen cupboards and freezers and putting them into her parents so we eat all the food.
Therefore we've used up frozen thins, sausages and the Christmas mustard for our lunches. Sorted out some more stuff for eb*y or other selling sites and packaged up some DVDs to post on Monday as was paid today for them
Dinner tonight will be freezer stuffs and currently having a good old tidy up
All completed and found a lovely lavender biscuit kit so it is currently resting in fridge for pudding tonight and then for pack ups for the first part of the week whoooop
First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -

Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.
Had a lie-in today (was woken by the postman hammering on the door) and then a text from DD saying she was going to call down with 2 of the grandkiddies (not hers, her brothers) and she would take them and our son to McDonalds later - so made the morning and early afternoon fly by with nothing done. So I aim to make up for it now and will:
Packed lunch for DH - Done
Check Bank - Done
Watch film at home - Done
Ironing - manana, manana
Craft - 14 cards made & more gift tags
Decluttering - (2 x bat/ball games, 2 x batman figures, 1 x bionicle lego thing, 1 x pencil case & pens, 1 x colouring book, 1 x box of crayons, lots of shredding, skincare samples, star wars cards - all taken by DD and grandkiddies)

Continue purge on Emails - Done a few

Had a really bad day with two naughty children....
My daughter threw a tantrum food shopping, the whole way round and whilst paying. As if I wasn't embarrassed enough, an elderly lady told her 'why don't you just shut up' which then meant I lost my temper and completely had a meltdown. Feeling so low again

My grand daughter had a huge tantrum in Lidls the other day , so I feel your pain. She carried on outside, and went stiff when I tried to put her in her pushchair. I was wondering how on earth I was going to get her, the shopping and the pushchair across the busy road with the pedestrian crossing thingy for some unknown reason 'out of use' when a random guy offered to push it across for me, enabling me to deal with GD :rotfl: When we got to the park I let her run around, and she took off after a load of seagulls right across the other side  She wouldn't come back, so I had to abandon the pushchair again and run after her.
Don't worry too much, they all do it, and tomorrow is another day
