So a fat tax then, rather than a cost related to the resources (fuel) you are using. Sounds about as unfair as the current set up.

:) So the passengers will have to be picked to make an even weight?

    10 x fat passengers or
    20 x thin passengers or
    10 thin & 5 fat?

What about children & babies are they counted as thin?

babies that don't have their own seat are not counted - although they could be put towards the total weight of the persons seat they are sitting in.

You can check a 20kg luggage but you can take a smaller suitcase as carry on. That's what really pis!es me off. Even if they are oversized, they don't stop them!

Maybe work out the times it's not very good and avoid going online then:o:o

    Good plan

I shall do speedtests every 5 mins for a week and see what the best times are.
  • But surely people weighing 20 stone use more fuel than people weighing 10 stone.

Anyway, I am not getting drawn into the argument you obviously want.

Of course an extremely obese person will do, but 11 stone,12 stone can equal obese for some, but underweight for others.
My original post was concerning a post by someone else, for whom you provided a reply. I have no desire for any argument with you or anyone else for that matter.
I am curious what the poster's motivations were for charging a higher cost to people who weigh more and whether they had thought this through.

I'd suggest a price according to gender (oh great, trans are gonna have a field day lol).
That way, you can have weight categories. (a bit like the BMI chart).

So if I've got this right, for people of "normal" weight, women would usually travel cheaper? Would there be a discount for the underweight ( or maybe free extra baggage?)? Why not just weigh person+luggage and charge accordingly. Then an overweight person with hand bag only could pay the same as/less than someone with a suitcase.

    Ta dahhhhh

    I'm in :j:j:j

Talking last night in the pub with another Geordie, I was asked a simple question, where was I born? BINGO  :j:j:j

I have a very relevant word that would be impossible for anyone to guess and don't want to change it. I've only had it for a couple of weeks and as I'm always signed in to mse I had forgotten what it was :o

Anyway, my travels have been enjoyable but so good to be home :). I've missed you guys, so much I've wanted to say I wrote bits down but lost the paper :(

Snap good to see you are at mums and preparations are going well for dads return home. Fingers crossed he can return tomorrow X

Rhos what dreadful news from you, hope he is going to be OK for the wedding :)

bubbs I'm willing you to find a wheat bag today X

I've got a charity shop run to do this morning, I've at last made a start with sorting out my stuff :o shameful that I hadn't done it before Christmas as there are several kids games, all complete and still look new, no damage to the boxes :)

Right, off I go with a spring in my step, so good to be back :T

Thank you tweets and Hillbilly for passing on my messages last night :T xx
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

    Morning all

Not exactly a pink trolley lol but just seen this in my emails. I probably saw it here and it had sold out so put it on stock alert.
Wondering if anyone has purchased one before and what sort of quality they are. Was thinking would be good to go to local chemist about half mile away to pick up OH prescription which usually consists of 20 bottles of ensure  So would need to be strongish.
