afternoon all, I am late to the party as usual - a whole world of domestic admin to trawl through this morning

I am off to the dizzy heights of sainsbobs later - remind me of anything I need to look for pretty please.

I've got Emmi on the list to get for Quidco clickysnappy as its only £1 with 70p cashback and you can get 3 of each flavour - wish the expiry dates were longer on them but I am sure we drank OOD ones in the fab days when we got them free ...

also I've written the cheap wine down, fingers crossed that we find it - does sainsburys have the 25% reduction for 6 bottles or did I make that up?

just off to check mycoupons and nectar for any exciting developments

Cos / Clicksnap schwartz sachets have 35p cashback and are 50p in sbobs if you use them... There's 31 different ones showing for cash back and up to 10 claims per offer period.

He catches mice and birds mhoc. He's always been a proper outdoor cat. He's had roundworms before but the vet mentioned tapeworms which can be metres long:eek:

it sounds like he needs the worming tablets on a regular basis if he is catching and eating them.

does he take to tablets easily?

did the vet give him the worming injection?

You'll probably only get one bottle, or three bottles if you do 3 for £5.

Wrong picture posted I bet it's actually this: http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/Beer/Budweiser_660ml.html

The light in the shower room has gone 'ppzzzfff' & died :(

Tried a new bulb but it's not working, so will have to get an electrician in :(

Loads of cat food rtc in T's

With Virgin, always put in your 30 days notice through the thinking of leaving option - the first line retentions do not have the best deals available to offer (though they will usually try to offer you various deals so that you make a saving/change your package). Giving 30 days notice generally prompts the outbound retentions team to call you and they will normally come up with a much better deal. You have to give your 30 days notice for this process to start.

The VM Retentions thread gives you a good idea what deals are available - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1021885 - Sky are offering 50% off to VM customers to join them for TV and free normal broadband (Google it), so worth having an idea what you are ideally looking for.

If all else fails and you don't get called back, you can always phone back towards the end of the 30 day period and cancel your cancellation.

I didn't have to put in my notice. I signed up with Sky in the morning getting the Virgin customer offer, paid the £40 installation fee and gave them a date for 2 weeks time to send an engineer around. Then in the afternoon I called up Virgin, giving Sky time to initiate the line transfer as I wanted to keep my number, and Virgin were only too willing to offer me a package with lots of bells and whistles, costing less than my current package. I accepted and promptly phoned Sky to get my £40 back :D
