these meal deal offers have strange workings, 1-2 years back i was ordering a meal deal and the incorrect total always showed (so its not new) however once picked the correct discount was indeed applied. BUT now most of us are under the new pricing policy i feel we would be charged the higher on line price.

I've been thinking if someone got the meal deal online but was actually charged the meal deal price and then the comparison compared from higher individual prices showing online than the individual prices that some of the products are actually on instore, that would be even better for them still?

But I think that doesn't work - it would be the same as the (extremely good!) comparison obtained via instore - as the individual prices online - £4 and £1.85 that is showing - and indeed the pizza price - are actually the individual prices instore. It was a thought - and it's probably not leading anywhere so I will shut up again now!:o:silenced::rotfl:

I must have scrambled egg where my brain cells should be because I get

  • I have BT for broadband and landline only (I don't believe in paying subscriptions for TV as for me they would be very poor value) and I have had no problems (touch wood) apart from having to have a replacement hub once, and even then I managed to stay online as I found my kitchen is in a wifi hotspot and I can pick it up in there.

Reason I stay is simply so they have no-one else to blame but themselves if stuff goes wrong - a friend of mine has just waited over 3 weeks for TalkTalk to conclude her issue must actually be a BT problem and then begin another wait for TT to contact BT to organise the engineer.

Yes, I could probably get cheaper but I have no patience for difficulties like my friend has just endured. And once you are out of contract and on a rolling monthly thing, you always have the possibility of contracting elsewhere to brandish at BT to speed them up.

We've just been squeezed:eek::eek:! By about the size of one atom across the entire Earth. Some 'gravitational waves' apparently.

But what impact does being squashed by the tinest fragment of an atom (size of atom divided by the length/width/whatever of the Earth) have on our physical wellbeing as individuals I wonder? (Presumably we've been squeezed, or maybe even stretched out, many times before by occasions when the equipment to detect it did not exist:rotfl:.)

They did this to me. The house had the same number for almost 40yrs and loads of the old farmers in the area used to ring for stuff. I rang them the same day and they told me I couldn't have it back as they had already reallocated it!

Thats what I was afraid of . I wouldn't be so angry if 2 separate staff hadn't lied to me and promised I could keep the old number. DH is even crosser.

So that's what caused my inability to complete Loccars mathematical question;) not my scrambled egg for brains.

    Oops went over £10 slightly

    Thanks to N1LDA :)

    Shouldda bought more water!:rotfl:

...Actually, no - that would have contributed to the voucher (even though not as much as if it compared it vs T) so that would not have been the right way! Not buying the Carling would have reduced the voucher or buying fewer sweets - or buying something that compared to much more expensive (but that way arguably you'd have lost the benefit of the Haribo comp. - or it would be equivalent to doing so). Then you'd have to put the Carling onto another shop if you needed it:doh: and then pay out the extra cost of 7 more different items that appeared and thus losing some of the benefit of the 35p gained on that (beyond just buying it straight in M, minus any additional journey cost that would have been beyond a journey where you would have gone to M anyway).
