A little glitch before bed time!:)

The offer on these looks to be ending, but multi should still be on instore. Apg should see full price.

    2 FOR £1Haribo Super Mix Bag(3)

    79p

Should compare to M. for 50p, so after apg should cost 32p for 2 bags.:)

(I don't think the minions ones in the group will compare.)

These are OH's fav. I might get him some for valentines day :)

If my replacement card every arrives. I haven't spent day money for almost 2 weeks (apart from OH's but that doesn't count)

I've just had a major melt down with BT and I'm spitting feathers !

I transferred my broadband and phone to them at the end of last month as their fibre optic deal worked out not much dearer than my ropey old Talk Talk connection. It went live today and its all running as it should so far.

The problem is that BT have allocated me a new number - even though they TWICE assured me that I would be able to keep my old number and that there woud be no problem whatsoever with this. Now they are telling me that I can't have my old number as Talk Talk haven't released it and they don't know when/if they will. Having spent a couple of hours chewing the ears off various people they have eventually said they will try to contact TT and ask them to release the number - but no guarantees. I've had the same number for 25 years at least and I am thouroughly wee wee'd off - over that period I have had a couple of previous service provider changes and I have alsways kept the same number.

I wouldn't have changed over if they had been honest when I did the order but they lied. Not happy at all.

They did this to me. The house had the same number for almost 40yrs and loads of the old farmers in the area used to ring for stuff. I rang them the same day and they told me I couldn't have it back as they had already reallocated it!

Obviously, Sains and Waities don't have the same Persil Bio washing powder either:rotfl:. You need the Morries comp.!:D (Sorry Northern Ireland:o.)

So, a complete failure by A's system to pick up an identical product from all three websites! 10% guaranteed! If Sains comp happened to work out best on a normal shop, then it seems that, even if the voucher was taken into account, it would still not be 10% cheaper by 60 pence. (So, the only place the Persil compares is against M - which, looking at it now, is what I would have expected - even though :(all four competitors have it. (I didn't do this deliberately - it's just come from out of what I happened to buy.))

Clear red "Brand price match" on W's website! They like to be pricematched to T at £11:eek:!:rotfl:

The "Brand price match" clicks through to:

    http://www.waitrose.com//content/waitrose/en/home/groceries/waitrose_brand_pricematch.html

"You won't pay more", it says in more highlighted white text than the rest of that text. We've heard something similar like that somewhere before:rotfl:.

"We match Tesco's prices on branded groceries, excluding promotions" it continues.

But you will pay more. Certainly if you buy the Persil at W. You will pay more than if you had gone to M and bought it there at £5 or gone to A or S and paid £6 for it there!

The text format rather attracts attention to the "You won't pay more" part of the text. I've said it before - we should have a computer program into which we can feed adverts, or content of businesses' websites, that then changes the format so that everything that was originally in more prominent text is put into small print (the most prominent being made the smallest of all) and everything originally in small print is blown up to the biggest size, boldest text and flashed on screen! Would probably get us to "the truth" a little bit more if we had it changed for us that way! Someone should devise it - and then we should put the advertising for the computer program itself into the program:rotfl:.

They are all, it seems to me, highlighting everything that makes things appear favourable and omitting to mention other relevant facts such as the fact a price has increased, the mbuy offer now is worse than what the price was before etc. It denies us the information we need to make proper purchasing decisions and transactions. The "truth" is the full information and "half a picture", it could be argued, has the problems that Lord Scott mentioned in his report on the Arms to Iraq inquiry in the early 90s. Hopefully, us on here can, at least, see "the truth".

Meantime, we will just have the study the small print the most of all, and try to ignore totally (but human nature being we can't) the stuff that is pushed more into our faces, to try to discover "the truth".

The same is happening for me M2M. Up until today, it has always been £5
All I can think is maybe that the meal deal is coming to an end.:(
It must be still working today, because people have reported paying £5 instore.

Thank you for posting, because it is all little bits of information like this, that helps to work out glitches.:)
    Hi all,

Has shown £5.85 for me online for several days, since first looking, so didn't order.

    SnS
these meal deal offers have strange workings, 1-2 years back i was ordering a meal deal and the incorrect total always showed (so its not new) however once picked the correct discount was indeed applied. BUT now most of us are under the new pricing policy i feel we would be charged the higher on line price.

BT are terrible and expensive... I don't get why people still go with them.
Even with BT Sports, they are still bad as they charge £5 on top for HD.

HD should be the standard now, it is when it comes to buying TV's

4 items on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda tesco

    1x ASDA Smartprice Fish Fingers (250G) £0.60 N/A

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=289820347

Just a brief absence from t.com, when the product went up in T from 60p just before it was put onto 65p a number of months ago, has caused the APG to be N/A against T ever since.

And - if the rest of the comp. was correct (which, because of the Persil, it is not)*, it still wouldn't be absolutely 10% cheaper than T if this item was included in any APG-qualifying comparison on which T worked out best overall. I don't like the N/A and would rather have my 60p comp. back vs T please. T putting the price up:mad::mad:, even slightly, so it is now confined to vs M for 10% off A's (and M's) 60p. Although it doesn't compare against T in any event:(, so has restricted it to vs M if I want 54p:(.

*Based on actual items stocked by T, although A could argue the differences in weight online - which aren't the reality as the actual products physically are the same weight - made it, under their rules, technically non-comparable. Even though it is exactly the same item and, here, at the moment, a non-comparison is actually not in A's favour!
