Dobbie have extended the date of when you can use the paper tea and coffee vouchers to 8th April. You can use any month, which not many people seem to know about.
Head office say the date wont be extended again.....I do think if they got enough negative comments on their facebook, they might reconsider?
Also, if you have not already phoned up and complained about the change to the T&C's please do so, as everyone I have told to do this, have received a full refund.

    :)

    Nice day here :)

Off to do the dreaded cat food shop - luckily they are on offer at £3.50 in Ts today so don't have to do a BG shop :T

The light in the shower room has gone 'ppzzzfff' & died :(

Tried a new bulb but it's not working, so will have to get an electrician in :(

I had a bloke from Virgin knock on my door the other day. He "strongly advised" me to ring them and tell them I wanted to leave because it's too expensive and see what they'll negotiate me.

I haven't done it yet because knowing my luck, they'll just say "ok, thirty days notice please" :rotfl:

With Virgin, always put in your 30 days notice through the thinking of leaving option - the first line retentions do not have the best deals available to offer (though they will usually try to offer you various deals so that you make a saving/change your package). Giving 30 days notice generally prompts the outbound retentions team to call you and they will normally come up with a much better deal. You have to give your 30 days notice for this process to start.

The VM Retentions thread gives you a good idea what deals are available - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1021885 - Sky are offering 50% off to VM customers to join them for TV and free normal broadband (Google it), so worth having an idea what you are ideally looking for.

If all else fails and you don't get called back, you can always phone back towards the end of the 30 day period and cancel your cancellation.

  • I can't find any missing multibuys today and didn't have the opportunity to take advantage of those yesterday but Haribo always go down well and I'll be getting my first Turkey mince today so hope that works too. Thanks to the finders. You've all saved me a fortune over the years. I'll keep looking now I know what I'm looking for and I think I'm starting to learn a bit of the arithmetic involved.

The pizza meal is going into my online basket at £5.85 so possibly a partial fix unless it's always been like that...

Just checked and online it goes into the basket as the offer and you are right, for some reason it shows £5.85 as the Shopping Total and above that there is a multi saving of £3.75 (should be £4.60) so not sure what is happening there. I have never checked online so cannot say if it has always done this.

The same is happening for me M2M. Up until today, it has always been £5
All I can think is maybe that the meal deal is coming to an end.:(
It must be still working today, because people have reported paying £5 instore.

Thank you for posting, because it is all little bits of information like this, that helps to work out glitches.:)

Always went into my online basket as £5.85 - since Sunday when I first looked.

For some reason it just makes the pizza free, £4 ice cream, £1.85 wedges = £5.85

still breathing :D as our dear Bananababe's dad would say.

I finished my 2nd cycle of chemo today. So I'm a free woman next week and the chuckle brothers are on half term. We are off to Geneva for a short break so the geeks can go and drool over the Hadron collider :D I desperately wanted to take them on holiday but they don't do sun, sand and sea so the particle collider it is :D I'm still trying to wrap my head around what it is :o.

I'm looking forward to it :D

    DS2 is anxious

Do they eat chicken nuggets there?
Will I be able to understand what the people on their telly are saying?
Will Bluebear make it through the airport scanner without losing one of his carefully sewn on (not by me) legs?

    It will be an adventure!

Glad you are having a respite from the chemo. How exciting going to Geneva. My sister lives there and we have been many times on holiday as a family. Its is a lovely city. There are lots of lovely shops. Look out for Manor, its a department store with a great food part and 1/2 the floor is made up of a Lindt chocolate store! Also there is a cafe on one of the upper floors where you can get a lovely cheap lunch. You can get a pizza made to order you just fill little bowls with toppings ( with as much as you can squeeze in ) and hand them over and they call you when its ready. Also the main shopping street is fabulous.
Also you can get a free bus ticket from a machine in the airport which allows you 80 minutes free travel around Geneva when you arrive. PM me if you need any further details.
