I don't have depression myself but have an understanding/appreciation from my dear older brother who has some severe mental health issues.
Sometimes he's good, sometimes not so. It's important to talk about it I think X

4.5miles is dead impressive! I did 3 miles yesterday and am practically dying today from it! :D
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!
  • Very impressive running and I love the saying about a tortoise running through peanut butter, that is definitely me when I'm running!!

Haven't yet got out of bed but my thighs are a bit heavy, I can tell that already. Luckily I've got a sports massage tonight and I'm really looking forward to it so that I can get rid of all this tightness that I've had since Sunday as well. It'll be uncomfortable but I know it'll be worth it afterwards.
I was going to go to spin class at 8pm tonight but I've cancelled it. Don't want to push myself (physically and mentally) too far. I will go for a nice walk at some point though as the weather is meant to be quite nice.
I'm planning on going to parkrun on Saturday but I'm going to be a tourist! My local one is off due to other events at the park so will hopefully be going a bit further afield to Shrewsbury and running there. This means that whatever time I post will be a PB as its a new course :D

First of the month and all my money has gone out and I'm just waiting now for interest to be paid and my mortgage balance to change. I want my free money!!!

Be careful what you read/see today as its April Fools. I'm going to see if I can identify the usual one BbC. Shame it wasn't yesterday with Ronnie Corbett :(:(:(

TSB have given me about £4.80 interest which is fab and Nationwide gave me £1.61 despite me only putting my money in there in the 26th! Not going to complain though. Just waiting for 123 to update. Should get a nice bundle from them as I had the full £20K in for half/most of the month. I have about £108 in the o/p fund now.

Had a nice albeit very wet morning at Shrewsbury parkrun. Running app said 39.09 but parkrun have said 39.43. Ive sent a nice email basically saying I think they're wrong :rotfl: First time on that route and it's quite a nice one. Will definitely go back if Telford isn't on although it's a bit of s trek in the car.

Just waiting for hubby to get back from work so we can do last minute packing and head off to Heathrow. Flying out to Zagreb tomorrow morning and come back Thursday lunchtime. MIL looking after house and cats. Weather forecast is due to be sunny and 23 degrees - can't wait to run in that!!
Think I might treat myself and pre-spend a bit of the money hubby will be giving me next week. Nothing extravagant but I'm not going to beat myself up if I want to buy something pretty.

Will be popping on now and then - I'm never far away from the Internet :D

Sat in a nice little street cafe in Zagreb about to have some dinner. Hubby and I are extremely tired after not a great night's sleep at Heathrow and then up at 5.15.
Had a lovely wander around for a few hours then back to the hotel and caught the end of their version of Strictly and then watched a Poirot with Croatian subtitles.
Early night for us I think as we are pooped!!

Just come back from a 5K run (3.2miles) around Zagreb. Got 2 races next week so trying to keep the momentum going.
Got a very tight right hamstring though. Done loads of walking the last 2 days which is probably why.
Lots of museums today although we went to the Museum of Broken Relationships yesterday which was pretty cool. As was the Miragoj Cemetery. Check it out on an online map from space - it's HUGE!!!!!

Thanks Cath. I've got a 5 mile road race next Wednesday and a 10K (6.2) off road hilly race on the Sunday so really want to keep some momentum. Going for a run with a friend tomorrow before a little spa treat from Gr0upon. Will probably skip parkrun and either go the gym or get a few miles in on Monday.

Last morning in Zagreb - taking it easy as we need to leave for the airport in 2 hours. Suitcases are chocka full - we got a hand luggage only ticket (it was much cheaper) seeing as we're only here for 4 days. Thing is I went shopping yesterday and bought 7 tops, 2 skinny jeans, 4 books and 2 wooden puzzles so it's a bit of a tight fit now. Hubby has been leaning on the suitcases to get them to close.
Looking forward to coming back and seeing the cats. Not looking forward to the weather!!! It's been glorious out here.

Seriously considering joining Slimming world. I'm just not making any progress with my calorie counting - I've done it before and I just don't think y head is in the game this time round. I might be sticking to my calories but I'm not eating healthily. Part of the issue isn't just weight - it's my body fat %.
I hate my stomach/middle. It's all flabby and I just don't like it. I need something to change my attitude to food and eat more healthy food.

Anyone had any experience of using SW?
