Really wish we could post photos on here. I've seen other people do it but I just can't figure out how.
And no, I have no idea why I have this strange predilection for naming things!0 -
Well done on your first over payment :j0

Thank you. I feel like I'm a proper MFW now that I've actually made an over payment. Got another slog now to get the next £468. Really need to sell my wedding dress. That would be a nice chunk (hopefully).
This is the problem with being such an MSE already - there's not a lot of fat left to get rid of. I just have to accept that sometimes finding the money will be easier and other times it will be a bit slower0 -
You're doing great MrsP and you are totally right that some money saving will be quick, others will be longer however it will all pay off!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -
I thought I'd found a really clever way of getting some extra cashback. I'm a little bit partial to some online bingo and I don't have a problem opening an account and depositing £10 in order to get some cashback. I don't do it a lot and so far have only done it once with Son bingo. However, in the past I have used L@dbrokes too for sports betting. So, I thought I'd give it a go as there's an offer on TCB at the moment which would give me £23 net. So, a few days ago I tried to log in with my email but with a different username and got told that my account had been suspended. Tried again today - no joy. So, I thought I'd get a new email address and used the name of my cat Darcy and my real surname. Was having some problems depositing the £10 so I checked my emails and it said I had to prove my ID to comply with money laundering rules because they couldn't verify who I am!
I've found L@dbrokes to be a pain in the rear in the past anyway so I've decided to just give up now with them. I will keep my beady eye peeled for improved offers with the bingo cashback. If I'm going to spend a tenner I want to get ideally at a minimum £20 net gain. However I did get an email saying that my fuel switch had gone through so I'm just waiting for the payout to drop into the joint account and then I will quickly nab that and I got £3 from one of my survey sites so not too bad I suppose.0 -
I'm on the hunt for my wedding dress.
What I mean is I'm trying to find out he designer (I think it's Justin Alexander) and the style number so I can sell it.
I know I found it last year but I didn't write it down and I've completely forgotten! Drat.
In the meantime I get to look at some very pretty pictures0 -
No parkrun for me this morning. I've absolutely destroyed my shoulders and arms after going the gym on Thursday and bench pressing 22kg for the first time in months and then military shoulder presses of 12kg too. I'm actually in a bit of pain when I move - it's all Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) but oh boy is it bad. So I decided not to get up and commit to a 5K and wait for my trail shoes to arrive and probably go out to the rugby club tomorrow, when hopefull I'm not as sore.0

H&B sell Epsom salts and Himalayan salts for bath soaks to sooth aching muscles. £2.49... my friend said was amazing, I've not tried it yet though.
We too trimmed the fat years ago, but we do have our spendy moments... I'm trying out eb@y for the first time in years, but i'm too scared to do matched betting... I think I may get caught out and keep betting.. I broke away from my friend the lotto after religiously playing every week with pretty much nothing in return.. that money goes to the mortgage nowMortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20220
