Jennifer Davey, I'm assuming you are now in your own home?! :-)

My partner is in a DMP, I'm sure he started it 6 years ago and is still paying it off, it's doing my head in. I've told him to ditch the company and pay it direct to creditors but he's lazy. At this rate he'll still be paying it in another 6 years!! :-(

My latest default is March 2016 which breaks my heart as my other defaults are almost dropping off now. All the latter went to my old address so I'm gutted but I'll have to wait a few more years - again.

Does it make much difference whether they are settled or not? I'm begrudged to pay this one for a few reasons!

I have just had a mortgage accepted and I have 4 defaults from 32 months ago. I built my score back up and we saved a deposit. The Halifax rang and said that we have been accepted and they are sending an offer through the post. We have a fairly decent rate at 2.89% and a mortgage of £261,500.
