EU Deal - Money still sent to other economies

I see the EU are playing there part in Cameron's act by suggesting that the deal is 'hard to swallow' etc - plenty of scope for Cameron to show he is 'standing up' and 'willing to talk tough' even thouh the actual deal seems to include very little that is not current EU policy anyway.
I hate politics sometimes where the debate has so little to do with the real issues.I think....0 -

It's many who are pro-EU also.
Just because people are pro-EU doesn't mean they won't welcome a chance to make Cameron squirm a bit. There's not even a date yet so plenty of 'fun times' before it gets serious.Graham_Devon wrote: »You keep trying to trivialise it as "12 people" and "nothing new to see". It's clearly one of the biggest issues we've had in the UK for some time. If you are not interested in it all as you keep saying, why keep nit picking other peoples posts?
I'm not trivialising anything. Just making the point I think most people's minds were made up years ago and, as we could have written the script for events to date a couple of years ago, nothing new or unsurprising has happened.
Well it's not a surprise to me anyway - May 2013A 2017 referendum is just a conservative vanity project. If the conservatives win the next election it's certain that when David Cameron renegotiates terms of membership he'll be recommending yes vote whatever he gets and so will labour and the lib dems.
The Tories used the referendum promise to get the Eurosceptics in the party to !!!!!! so they could increase their chances of winning the general election. No other reason.
However, the piper now wants paying in wasted time, effort and money.0 -
Noteworthy that Cameron is likely to suggest that the UK will see "Calais style Jungles" if we exit the EU.
Seems the threats are starting.

Dan Hannan details the history of the agreement, why it has nothing to do with being in the EU and what might happen if France decide to break the agreements between the 2 countries

The agreement can be ripped up by either Govt at at any time.
If they did then we just have to take more time checking the immigration status of passengers coming to the UK. This will increase the costs to Eurostar which is part owned by the French Govt. If we do need to bring back the checks to UK shores and find illegals then we just ship them back to France.
Has being a member of the EU prevented illegal immigrants from coming here already ?.
The Jungle is there because the French Government allow it to be there and a UK Govt wouldn't allow it.0 -

Also found this from Guido http://order-order.com/
The French interior minister last year rubbished the idea promoted by Cameron today that France might tear up their agreement with Britain on border controls if we left the EU. Bernard Cazeneuve said:
“Calling for the border with the English to be opened is not a responsible solution. It would send a signal to people smugglers and would lead migrants to flow to Calais in far greater numbers. A humanitarian disaster would ensue. It is a foolhardy path, and one the government will not pursue. On the contrary, we’re going to make the border even more watertight to dissuade smugglers and migrants, respect international rules and reduce the pressure on Calais.”0 -

You should read the article.
The setup now has nothing to do with being part of the EU.0 -

What a carpy phoney campaign we are in - I begin to understand why the Scots got so upset if the same lies, obscurifucation and irrelevance was used in their referendum by both sides.I think....0 -

The politics of fear will be even more in evidence in this campaign.
With the Scottish indy ref at least they were able to roll out people with public recognition, like Gordon Brown.
Who do they have representing the EU part of the union? Juncker?!!0
