    Morning everyone

Hope everyone has a good day today....

Well, just packed hubby off for the weekend....he must have felt 5, as i stood doing the "have you got? have you remembered?" routine ...come on, surely im not the only one who does it :p ...it was so funny as he stood on the doorstep declaring loudly and sarcastically that "yes i have clean socks, yes i have clean pants,etc".....as the guy from next door came out to his car - adding..."oooh im so glad to hear it, and have you washed behind your ears?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

So i am on my own for the weekend...but he will be back in the early hours of monday - so im sure i will cope;) .....im going to make an effort to get the spare bedroom finished off, and then hubby can get anything i dont need in the loft when he gets back

 just done my weigh in....lost 1.5 kilo this week...no actual exercise involved so far:T ..so that is 9.5lb in 3 weeks....i swear it is down to this board:beer: ...making everything from scratch and not eating stuff in waste..and doing more housework ..i used to let it build up and then have a blitz..now i do everything as it needs doing, and sometimes before :rotfl:
I still have a long way to go ..but im heading in the right direction and im still eating really well..... so far this week i have made pizza, chicken pasta, roast chicken dinners with roasties and stuffing  ....it is seeming far to easy at the moment...mind you -this weekend will be a test as i am on my own ... usually a danger point for me... so if you find me on here rambling (yes again) you know why ...distraction tactics you see;)

AIME - hope your DD is ok
Scuzz- good luck at the hospital
Catowen - hope you have a good day, and are feeling better

Well i will get off now and have a trawl through the other threads...

Hope everyone has a great day:D

    Morning everyone.
Very windy here today but we are off out to visit my sister which the kids are looking forward to, and i am aswell think i need to get out of the house as i just cant sit down when im here, im always finding things to do!!

Iv already started listing on ebay ready for kids going back to school, listed them over 10 days so my first lot starts to finish on wed, i listed a few each day so iv got abit of ebaying to do each day. Im planning on keeping busy as im going to get abit lost with all 4 kids at school, it will be the first time in 11 years iv not had kids at home in the day!!! WAYHEYYYYYYYYYYY!! Im not excited honest!!

Made a big booby on ebay last night was watching a pair of wellies for dd ready for footy season and placed a bid towards end of auction,I was being abit tight and wanted to place bid of only £1.01, but because i was shouting at the kids at the time i put in £101.00!!!!!!!!! I email seller straight away to retracked the bid but they didnt have time, so ended up winning it for £8.50!!!!Oh well they are very cute wellies!!!(£9 odd with postage arhhhh)LOL

Right off to have a quick tidy round then get the kids up and ready to go, must go and get pertrol before we leave and then tonight im off to Mr Ts for the big shop because its PAY DAY!!! Thank godness

    Have a great day everyone

  • Hi all, brrr, it feels like autumn outside.

Amiee, I'm so glad the hedgie is ok. We have a 'pet' hedgehog who comes and visits us most nights, last year we had a whole family but I suppose they're all grown up now (hope they're still around somewhere).

Frogga, I hope you get those horrible people sorted out. Why do employers think they can treat their staff like dirt and get away with it? I'm still chasing the bounced cheque I was paid for doing some work, it wasn't a huge amount but it was enough to see us through, say, a week's food shopping. As it was a rush job, and I spent an entire weekend doing it, it makes it doubly upsetting.

Well done, Mrs McCawber! That's a great weight loss.

    Kyle - £150!!! for a miniature!! Wow!!

Scuzz, good luck at the solicitors, hope things go well for you, you deserve a bit of good luck for a change.

Hugs to everyone else, I'm sorry, my old and creaky memory has given up on me again:rolleyes:

Had a nightmare shopping trip with DD yesterday, I HATE clothes shopping at the best of times and going with a depressed 23 year old is NOT fun. Anyway after four hours of trudging around the shopping centre and several bouts of tears, we did end up with a couple of things for her. I came home with sore feet and my patience stretched to the limit. Oh well.

Quiet day planned today. I have some sewing to do and think I might rustle up a batch of muffins for the freezer. Going out tonight with my girlie friends to celebrate my birthday so that should be fun.

    Have a great day everyone

FROGGA - so sorry that OH's wages weren't paid. I hope you can get it sorted out soon.

MRSMCAWBER - no, you're not the only one! You'll see from yesterday's thread that DANNAHAZ and I both have OH's that we need to treat as if they are toddlers. My DH is very absent-minded and always has been (or rather, he finds it more convenient to have me remember things for him than for him to remember for himself!) and we go through the same routine avery single time he goes out without me! Bless 'em, eh? The most annoying thing is that he'll ask me where things are that I never use, like his spirit level or a hammer or something, and I always know where they are! That spooks him. Well done on your weight loss, by the way!

Well, I told myself I wouldn't sit down on here until I had got a few more chores done; I have cleaned the bathroom and bedrooms, put some washing on, had breakfast - not cleared away yet - emptied the kitchen bin, so I have done something!

Anyway, off to do some more - I want to get out by 9.30 and I haven't done a shopping list yet.

    See you later.

  • Good morning everyone!

Going out on my bike with DS later, and DD, too if we can get her moving. She's really sad about the holiday nearly being over, and can't get herself motivated. She'll be fine once she's there, and have fun with her friends. She's off to a sleep-out tonight, then shopping with the friends tomorrow.

Spent yesterday evening labelling photos - what a great job! Need to buy some more albums to put them into.

Have a great day, Penny. x

  • Hello everyone

I'm back from the hospital and feeling very relieved it's over. I don't want to say what the operation was as it's embarrassing but if I'd known how bad the post-op pain would be I think I would have soldiered on without the surgery. The pain is a lot better now but I'm still very uncomfortable and sore.

Anyone, it's all behind me and.......I GOT A PLACE AT SALFORD UNIVERSITY!
My OH checked the email the day I had my surgery and phoned to say I'd got in. I start two weeks on Monday, just enough time to get over the operation.

Hugs to everyone, I'm off to bed again with a cup of tea.

    Julia xx
  • Good morning everyone! I hope that today finds you all safe and well. Just wanted to say thanks for the batch cooking ideas yesterday, it gave me loads to think about and I will hopefully have a well-stocked yummy freezer by Sunday night. xx
