But what then gets rid of the smell of the fairy lemon? (I can't stand the smell of those either - can't even drink coffee out of a mug that's been washed in it as the smell impacts the taste).

The problem with living without artificial scents and perfumes is that I'm totally intolerant of them.
I'm exactly the same, in fact it has become even worse, as after giving up smoking (two years this week -Yay) my sense of smell is even keener. Anything artificial sets me off into sneezing fits :rotfl:

Fingers crossed you get the result you want the morrow Bossy

  • Morning all.

Well we had good, bad and puzzling news at the hospital yesterday.

The good news is my lymph nodes are still behaving.

The bad was confirmation of the cancer in my bladder which has now spread to my womanly bits.

The puzzling is that it is now visible in the fat around the bowel. This is very unusual for my cancer. So they are retesting to see if my ovaries are implicated. Sigh...

So the plan is 3 more months of a different chemo.

But they have agreed I can have a picc line - hooray!!!!!!!!

We were not greatly surprised by the news of the local spread, largely because someone on the surgical team goofed and put my scan results on my discharge letter WITHOUT TELLING ME!!!!!!!!

I am currently working on my letter of complaint.

DH is going back to work today so I am hoping for some peace.

Love and hugs to everyone. Baby hurrying up.vibes for one Flylady - sorry my brain is not quite working atm.

CY hugs along with support and coping vibes.
Bossy glad you weren't more seriously hurt when the wind caught the car door. Love your DSs motivational thoughts, and I hope his and your day is indeed a good one.

Need to go and shift the boys. Once they've gone I have a pile of clothes ds2 put on the landing for the CS bag. That is filling up nicely.

    Have a good day all

  • Running late. CY stay strong. As Jazee says at least you have an idea of what you are dealing with.

Taking Mr Bossys advice and being positive. Today is going to be challenging and I may have to work late.

Sorry to hear your news CY.

All my research on getting rid of the smell of laundry detergents suggests that airing the clothes is the best option. As I can't cope with the smell in the house I'm going to have to get them on the line and hope the wind doesn't get up too much... I seem to remember in the summer I was leaving things out overnight (and if it rained, that was an extra rinse!).

I did soak a whole lot of stuff in bicarb overnight - information suggests that air/soak/wash/dry/air and repeat until it is gone is the only option, so I'm going to be busy.

TD is starting to pack up - low setting doesn't heat up at all anymore. Just keeping my fingers crossed that high keeps working for another 12 months or so. I can manage with that for towels and sheets, and the heated airer for the rest when I can't use the washing line.

Really struggling to be awake this morning as still jet lagged/exhausted, but am back to work today so need to find a brain cell or two.
