Ionafan- have a lovely weekend. Sometimes when plans are changed the weekend can be even more enjoyable!
YL- I'm sure you will be brilliant in your meeting. Knock em dead!
Pigpen- there are no words. But hopefully you find the strength to get through today. Everyone on here is rooting for you.
My friend has taken ds1 to school so gave an extra 10 minutes before swimming. The swing has been rebuilt and bedding is in wm. All breakfast pots sorted and dining room clear! At least when I come home the place won't be a complete bomb site! Actually it's not looking too bad!
I have given up on baby coming anytime soon and settling myself in for the long haul! Both ds1 and 2 were two weeks late. I was induced with ds1 and finally (after 3 inductions) he came after 14 days but I held off with ds2. (Your right though pigpen the hospital did put pressure on me to get him induced) luckily ds2 came after 13 days so I didnt have to battle with them too long! This pregnancy has been completely different. Backache, Brixton hicks and stomach aches for last 5 weeks so everyone said she would come early (and she is a girl). I knew I shouldn't listen as I think that hasn't helped my patience!
Anyway... Updated list.... Catch you all later on this morning.

Morning all
YL - Glad they're agreed to move ds's hospital.
Skinty - gws vibes
Baby arriving vibes being sent as well to those in need
Pigpen - thanks for the update about skinty. Sending you branches to beat those bd's back. Strength, coping & positive vibes by the skip full for dealing with all you're going through today.
I have lots of walking to do today, I need to take the dog for a walk first thing to check a friends house (she's away) and to wear him out a bit before I walk into town to go the bank and buy sunglasses. I see a trip to primarni in my near future _pale_ I just need some until I can get some decent ones that'll last from the avon which aren't aviator or girly ones and fit! Then I'm hoping to get the weekly shop done, so I can hibernate for the most part this weekend.I have a delivery to make tonight, and I'll try to get the laundry done so the ironing can be cleared as well.
I best get moving :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Hugs frizzle those last couple of weeks are yuck xx
Pigpen best of luck for today and "meh" that you have to explain why you don't want a relationship with anyone - let alone him!!!
Not doing much here, bit of a laundry and packing. Had a wobble with DS this morning, he somehow knew it would be DHs birthday today. So we had a little cry, looked at some pics and talked about some happy times, and he said he felt better then :A
I'm going to buy a cake to take with us tonight, to share with our WAY friends and "celebrate".
Right. Washing needs attending to...Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Sorry been MIA so much this week - been unwell and not really done anything. Today is the first day I've taken S to school as friends have been taking him for me. Mum & Dad up as it was my birthday yesterday so lovely to see them. J is off to Relate on his own this afternoon - how I'd love to be a fly on the wall!
Got a load of washing ready to go in but will have to wait until J has finished doing his work phone calls as he works in the kitchen and the WM is very loud on spin! Picked up some clothes to take upstairs and got towels airing but I think that's about it so far.
I've been productive with the knitting and done all the front and 2/3rds of the back of a lovely alpaca poncho; can't wait to wear it. Mum & Dad gave me vouchers for online knitting store Loveknitting so got itchy fingers to spend them!
CY hope you're resting
Pigpen thoughts are with you today; sounds awful what you've got to go through
Frizzle come on baby vibes!
Sticks, gws vibes, hugs etc are all here but my poor brain has forgotten whatever else I've read so just come along and help yourselves xFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Hugs Bossy.
Hope today goes ok Piggers.
Ionafan, I'm another one who hasn't achieved anything much this week. Been distracted, two funerals don't help - friends mother earlier in week and nephew later today.
Oh and baby come soon vibes to those who need them.
I'd normally say have a great day but I think its sounds a little shallow for most today.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »Breadcrumbed fish portions out of the freezer, oven chips and peas here. Now that is lazy!
As we never have a takeaway or a deep fat frier I don't think that's lazy at all, besides which it's what we have every Friday!
*Healing vibes* for Skinty and CY, and *safe arrival vibes* or a large box of patience for Frizzle.
Have a lovely weekend, Ionafan.
We're rooting for you, Pigpen. Strength and power to you.
I hope the rest of today goes well, Bossy.
Must deal with the carpets on the ground floor today and flick the duster around. We're suffocating under a layer of dog and cat hair, mostly Kelpie's but Devil Cat's probably responsible for some of it.Better is good enough.0 -
well this mornings chappy was amused I think.. I just quite simply said I wouldn't be asked to have a relationship with anyone else who had sexually assaulted me so why should I feel pressured to have a relationship with him? I said I do not want to speak to him or have anything to do with him and the sooner he is out of mine and the childrens lives forever, the better. However, that doesn't mean I wouldn't support the children if they chose to have a relationship with him and that is why this visit was made.. I explained in many details the things he did to the other children, some of which I am still discovering.. and said their opinions and feelings should be taken into account and they have pretty much been told they are irrelevant. He is coming on the 22nd and 26th to speak to the other 6 and see what they want to do regarding moving towards building a relationship with CF, I know at least 3 won't. Though, one minor step forward I did get acknowledgment that it is not the responsibility of the children to build or maintain a relationship, he is the adult and as such it is his responsibility and telling them he doesn't think of them as his children, are not welcome at his house, ignoring them at Christmas and birthdays and the latest one.. not inviting them to his wedding!!! are not things which will make them feel wanted or welcome!
Anyway.. New solicitor at court today.. mine had a heart attack about a month ago.. one way to get rid I guess lol.. so we will see how it goes.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen hope it goes well. Words cannot describe him, or at least not any we can type in public.
Lots of hugs to lots of people who need them, and belated birthday wishes to a mum or 2.
Katie thinking about parents again, do you parents have the option of a milk delivery? I know it is more expensive than the supermarket, but my one (M1lkandmore) does what the name suggests; up to 9pm the night before I can add to my order if I suddenly find I've run out of bread, butter, cheese and a whole range of groceries. Although they are branded goods, they often have better offers that the own brand in the supermarket. They even deliver compost and grow bags to my doorstep! Just a thought. Then at least if you knew they had run out of something, you could order it and you don't pay for delivery so ordering just 1 item is ok. And I don't work for them!
Done Body Attack at gym this morning, dropped MIL at clinic for blood test on the way.
One load through DW.
One load washing in machine.
I think this afternoon will be paperwork and the study. There are large frogs sitting on each shelf of a unit I have in the study; there are 11 shelves, 1 drawer and stuff on top. In theory I could clear space for much of the gubbins that is on the floor.......Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
