LW my current pair don't seem to have a mark. My glasses seem to be always dirty even seconds after I have cleaned them. They have reactive lenses so I wonder if that is why.

Basics day here off to a bad start. Ds2 screamed every time I spoke to him and then his bus was an hour late (some poor baker had an accident) biker not baker autocorrect.

Put photos in album (if they have arrived)
Put swing back together
Strip bedding and wash it
Turn and vacuum mattress and redress!
Floor clearance!! Find the carpet.. or at least some!

Hi all

Today is going to be a challenging one at work as I am standing in for my boss at an important meeting that he would have been chairing. Then I have the hairdressers straight after. I have lost my mealplan so no idea what we were supposed to be having for tea! I really need to get some food shopping too.

Katie poor you. I worry about the future for my parents (who are only 20 minutes down the road from me) as I can see them not wanting care either. Thankfully they are both fit and well at the moment. You can only do so much even when you are close by.

Right, best shift myself, not sure when I will get home but I will see you later!

Dd1 asked me to nip in Ts for her but I'll do that tomorrow now. Also got a CS run to do to clear a couple of bags out.

I will be glad when today is over... I have a pack of BD's all in need of euthanizing!


I get to explain to SS and the court why I do not want a relationship with someone who beat me and my children and raped me repeatedly.. let me think about this??!! There is no wonder such domestic violence cases never get reported if this is what they have to deal with (you see how how I still say 'they'? .. I am aware!)

Sorry I've been mostly AWOL the past few days - just about managing to keep up with the thread. It's been a bitty week and not much achieved, if I'm honest. Little jobs have turned into big ones, and things keep cropping up to wreck my plans.

We had planned to go back to our old home town this weekend to help friends with the preparations for their house move, but both of them have been ill for the past week with this horrible virus that's doing the rounds everywhere and are still hardly fit enough to get out of bed. A month ago we booked a hotel for 2 nights at a cheap advance rate, therefore not possible to cancel or re-book, so we are still going, and it will be more like a mini-break than a working weekend - especially as DH has arranged to meet his friends at the pub this evening :beer: while I go and see an elderly friend of mine :coffee: and we have tickets for a special concert tomorrow evening. We have decided not to delay but to set off this morning and while away a few hours at a NT property not far off our route. There are very few NT houses that are fully open at this time of year, but this one is not huge, has a decent heating system, and is close enough to the West Midlands conurbation and the motorways to continue to attract visitors through the winter! Tomorrow we might end up doing a little bit of shopping and going to see the Dad's Army film which we'd planned to see sometime anyway. We shall make our way home again on Sunday.

I will keep up with the thread while we are away and hope to hear good news of flying achievements and babies's safe arrivals. If I get any good flying tips from the NT i will pass them on
