Lots of lovely opions on the candidates but does no one know what happens if Clinton is unable to continue as a candidate for the democrats?

No idea, presumably someone else takes over the democratic nominee position, which could only be a good thing. I suspect Kaine or Sanders would take over. Both are probably better options in the first place.

Anyway the answer is assuming, it is before the vote, the Democratic National Committe decides (not the democratic convention members voted for in the primaries). If they do not choose the current VP candidate as presidential candidate then he retains this role on the ticket along side the new presidential candidate.
    I think....
  • For last night's big debate Don the con spent large parts of it sniffing and rambling incoherently. Looks like his main preparation was spending a few hours sniffing cocaine before going on live TV to show how much of an ignoramous he is.

Probably won't put off his base, but he won't have picked up a single fence sitter on that performance.

At the end he was the one whose health should be in question.

He's probably clinically psychopathic I suspect, and certainly not intelligent enough to be Commander, and this is a shame because US companies are offshoring en-mass due to overly high corporation tax and Hillary previously made a promise to increase taxes.

This all spells misery for the millions of once proud working class Americans that have seen their communities decimated.

From a selfish view point either candidate could well prove a boost to UK FDI.

Also from a selfish point of view I don't really want a psychopath with self control issues be given control of a vast arsenal of nuclear weapons.

How is he still in the race? His behaviour is repugnant.

Middle class USA has lost out following globalisation. As one voter said yesterday. Little point in having cheap imported goods if I don't have a job that pays a reasonable wage. Rust belt USA wants change.

It's just about to get worse.

His remaining tactic seems to be if I am guilty so are you, and against advice from Republican campaigners he will make a series of sex allegations against Bill Clinton.

I was watching the newspaper review last night. They were saying that tapes exist from unscreened sections of The Apprentice, showing him using the N word. What is stopping them being released is that the person who has them has a clause in their contract that they will need to pay $million(s) if they are released.

Trump himself has hinted that more tapes will be released, but not their content.

He's lost the Republican hierarchy. It must surely be game over if this comes out. And not before time.

    ETA: good summary here:
