The Mad World of Donald Trump

I think it was ill-advised of Farage to turn up at an American political event and tell them how he'd vote, given that Obama sticking his oar in was a big negative for the Remain campaign.
It's easy to dismiss Trump as a loon and take the p1ss out of his stupid hair. The pertinent thing to ask is why is his message resonating with so many ordinary Americans? They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -

The American Dream as was, has well and truly burst. Many people aren't benefiting from the growing wealth in the US. Or more to the point the inequality of distribution.0 -
If Clinton were to have to pull out (say for health reasons) what happens?
Does her running mate become presidential candidate?
Does it go back to the college and presumably have to be Saunders as candidate?
Either of these might make Trump a shoe in :eek:I think....0 -
This morning this seems like an even more relevant question.
If we end up with Trump vs Saunders who would the rest of the world choose?I think....0 -
I wonder how those people who voted for Brexit feel when they see Nigel Farage now rallying in support of Trump.
Isn't there a deep rooted unsettling sense of shame to see someone you thought was sane now standing up on the podium supporting the most corrupt and dangerous politician the western world has seen in centuries?
I would like to think that not all Brexit voters support Trump. However, Trump supports all Brexit voters - and that should make you think that you played your part in giving power to these toxic leaders and their dangerous rhetoric

The most corrupt and dangerous politician currently in the West would be Hillary Clinton.
Check out how they (Hillary and crew) funnel payments through the Clinton Foundation and what that's used for. Millions for Haiti that never got there for example.
Check out her astonishing lapse in national security in the US when handling top secret and compartmentalised special access program data.
Her inability to explain how to classify secret material and her acknowledgements that she relies on her staff to get it right for her.
Check out her political history and what she used to stand for, before she got paid off by big business.
You might see Trump as a loose cannon, I'll suggest that's because he's open and frank and doesn't hide his agenda. The Clinton's have a track record that suggests they will say one thing and do another, and never to the benefit of the people who elected them. Hillary makes Bill look like a saint.
She's corrupt, inept, ill, a criminal (although not facing charges right now), and a false persona.0 -

Sounds like you have been cutting and pasting from RW republican websites. Funny that you bring up Clinton's alleged criminality and ignore Trump's illegal activities with his own foundation, and his Trump University scam.

You might also wonder what is in his tax returns that he is so desperate to hide.0 -

I've not ignored Trumps failings. They seem to be well covered by others, such as yourself.
But lets not kid ourselves or anyone else that Clinton is a better option. She's dangerously ill-equipped for the position.
Neither of the candidates are great, it's a bad time to be an American it seems. The votes will go to the least bad option rather than a good option.
Both sides will be slinging mud at one another, but Hillary's track record is appalling, and she really should be serving a sentence for what happened with the mishandling of confidential material alone, ignoring everything else.0 -

This email thing has been blown out of all proportion, and it appears she was actually advised by her Republican predecessor to do this but no one seems to be pressing for him to be sent to prison.
How anyone can think that someone who panders to conspiracy theorists and racists, who can't string a coherent sentence together, has the attention span of a three year old, pretends to be a Christian to get the religious right on board, and is known for seriously dodgy business practices is a better choice than anyone makes my mind boggle.0 -

I question how much you actually know about the 'email thing' you claim has been blown out of proportion.
Private email servers. Declining use of state electronic apparatus. Signing off having been trained on the handling of classified material but then being unable to answer any question on procedure and allowed apparatus. Using personal electronic devices without encryption, staffers devices going missing, there's a number of blackberry smartphones and laptops in the wind with confidential information on them.
It's not been blown out of proportion, it's critically under reported in the MSM.0 -
Lots of lovely opions on the candidates but does no one know what happens if Clinton is unable to continue as a candidate for the democrats?I think....0
