No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries February 2016

I used some stick on nail polish a couple of weeks ago I'd not got on my list, it's lasted really well, I lost a ring finger sticker last week but painted that fingernail with a toning colour polish, today I lost the sticker off a little finger but I have a spare on to replace that so will stick another on tonight to make it last over the weekend.

Montagne Jennesse 'sensious spice' self warming mask - Picked this full size sqeezy tube up in poundland. Love it, smelled amazing, left face smooth and firm WDBA especially at that price!

Osiris Avise CC cream - blends and applies easily, fool proof enough for me to use, sheer coverage but thats what I like anyway, spf 15, budget friendly, though I am going to choose a different brand out of my stash just to compare next. WBA.

Wet and Wild Lotus Marine Mineral face powder - not really sure what/how much to expect of a face powder as I only started using them last year or so to set concealer around my nose (broken veins), seemed to do the job but I am open to suggestions for ideas for a new one. WBA if cheap.

Sen Stress Relief Sandlewood bath and shower gel - I googled this, supposedly selling on amazon for £9! I was not impressed. Smells nothing like sandlewood, more like a medicinal smell, maybe these companies do not realise some of us actually know what sandlewood is suposed to smell like. I was more excited about refilling the pretty pump action container when it emptied! WNBA.

Tonight I got the marks of my last OU assignment, I passed but not as high marks as I hoped for and I worked very hard on it, got some other unwelcome news too so to try to distract from a sudden chocolate craving I opened a new bottle of M&S floral bath cream in Magnolia and had a proper bubble bath - smelt amazing!

Lush Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub - WMBA - I prefer dark angels really but I fancied a change when I bought this. I love the smell and the exfoliation - it's like a tequila slammer for your face, but when I used it in the bath on open pores it stung like anything. Don't know if it's the grapefruit juice, salt or vodka that stung (all three probably).

I was actually in balance with face scrubs but I'm not going to buy another. I think I'm gonna try to mix some soft seasalt or sugar or bicarb to some face treatment oils to see if that works as a scrub. Leaving the face oil on seems to cause me to break out which is a shame because it was a gift, and it is expensive so I'd like to use it somehow.

Clinique Take The Day Off 30ml - I like this but it is pricey so I don't think I would buy as an individual item again. I have another this size in the stash and a couple of other eye make up removers so no need to think about buying just yet.

Full sized Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel. This is nice but for the price I'd want it to wow me. Have always received this product as a GWP so WNBA although would use it if it came as GWP. Much prefer Cup of Coffee by LUSH.

Full sized Elemis shower Creme - the one that smells the same as the milk bath. I hate the fragrance of this product so I tipped most of it into my bath. WNBA and will sell if I ever get more.

Nails inc nail colour with Marie Clare. Ladies the grey/teal colour is a dupe of the Sephora by OPI colour Break a leg warmer which I love. So giddy about this and will be buying a back up. Colour is called Moonlight Shadow.

I did also buy a 200ml tube of C&P for Emma as I she uses it to remove make up and then double cleanse with the Murad.

So annoyed this week has just been a nightmare. As if it wasn't bad enough having tonsillitis and a chest infection and the loss of earnings because of that I got 2 Avon hair masks in the post today and 5 minutes after receiving them I went to put them in my box of hair stuff and promptly dropped them on the laminate floor. So annoyed because Ive been sticking to not getting toiletries these last few weeks and these were In's that I always need and were a good price. I get through hair masks like there's no tomorrow and I love the Avon ones. They smashed everywhere but I refuse to TA as I really like them and managed to save most of them. Lids are smashed so they will have to be bath only jobs as in the shower they will end up full of water and un usable. They are next on my list for use now :-( I'm so annoyed with all this bad luck nothing Is going right. I work in a LD care home that's changing from nursing to residential and half our long term residents we are losing, including one I am a key worker to. This week I also had to give up my share pony because my health and finances are no longer good enough. I can't afford to pay out towards a pony I'm not well enough to go up and see enough, and when I am well I am working :-(

So 2 In's that were close to being immediate outs :-(

It's going to be hard now not to buy cheap toiletries to make me feel better or to start eating loads of rubbish again but I will have to try because I've done so well this month, not to buy loads of unnecessary things.

I have been using up!

Clarins Blue Orchid Oil - five ml bottle. I finished it off as a scrub by adding it in a pot with some soft sea salt. It worked well, got the full sized version of this so will try some sugar next. WNBA though.

Botanics Body Butter with Honey and Grapeseed Oil - This was a gift WMBA - It absorbs in quickly.

Used up 12 bars of soap - (I know!) making washing powder. They weighed 500g and I added 1Kg of washing soda. I've done this before and I know it works. I used all the "virtuous" soap. You know, the stuff that is pure vegetable oil and unscented (and boring). I'm gonna count it as used up as it's in the laundry room and I won't buy any laundry powder till it's all used up. I was a bit worried I'd break the blender but I took it steady and it was fine.
