You washed it on the wrong cycle, of course a lambswool jumper will shrink in a hot wash. You owe him a replacement jumper without a doubt0

And certainly never with men who wear acrylic jumpers, which are truly yuck!0 -
Totally agree!0

Tell him to wash his own jumpers!0

Unless he begged you to wash it and you couldn't find your glasses or were incapacitated in some other way and unable to read the label, of course you should offer to replace it, use the old one for a tea cosy or bottle wrap. What's his weight got to do with it, why bring that up? Imagine if it were a female being spoken of, considerable ire would have been provoked!0

What would you do or expect if he did the same to your new lambswool jumper?
Now go and do it0 -
Yep, you should buy him a new one. You shrunk it !0
-
Why were you washing it in the first place. If he is unhappy that you shrunk it he shouldn't expect anyone else to do his washing.0
-
Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?0

Whats next?
My boyfriend put a wash on and the idiot put a red t-shirt in a white wash now all my knickers are pink.
Should I march him down to the shops and insist he replaces them?
No, of course not. Just make sure all his smalls get the same treatment and go pink too. Far worse for him than you. :rotfl:0
